I have no intention of prosecuting anything, as I am not the one who made the claims

Three members of the present Administration have publicly declared that they believe Liberatia is guilty of Treason, yet these same people are unwilling or unable to pursue the matter.

If those we have trusted to protect the region are willing to turn a blind eye to what they themselves deem is a traitor in our midst, what else are they neglecting?

I'm not quite sure of who you are considering "three members of the current administration" but I've only seen one person in the executive branch say something to this effect.

What you're based asking for is akin to double jeopardy, Distortilla. The process wasn't handled properly in the past -- the situation was handle by administrative fiat rather than court proceeding. As such, in an attempt to follow laws properly, the administration (ie. the people who run these forums) of these forums are not banning individuals who have not been found guilty in the courts. That doesn't mean people are turning a blind eye, it's that people are making sure everyone is entitled to citizen rights.

RE: Liberatia MoRA campaign - Ditortilla - 06-16-2014

Its not double jeopardy as there was never a trial, just a heavy handed reaction to Liberatias actions, apparently.

Our Delegate, our Vice Delegate and the outgoing MoRA have all stated, in this thread, that they are of the opinion that Liberatia committed treason

I will concede that Farengeto is no longer a Cabinet member, but the very fact that this matter has reared it head highlights that there is unfinished business - either Liberatia is taken to task for his actions, or the inisistance that he committed treason has to be dropped.

I am not saying that Liberatia is to be given a clean sheet, or that his former activity cannot be discussed in terms of his suitability for this or any other public office. It is the repeated term of "Treason", an emotive term and an accusation that cannot be ignored, that has to be addressed, It is one crime that the State is obliged to interrogate fully or else the term must be dropped as without a conclusion the Citizen in question will face prejudice for the rest of his stay in the region.

In layman's terms those shouting treason need to either put up or shut up and bring this to closure once and for all

What else would you call a citizen attempting to overthrow the regional government? Convicted (by trial) or not, that's treason. Plain and simple.

RE: Liberatia MoRA campaign - Belschaft - 06-18-2014

That's not how free speech works, actually. If Libertaria feels that peoples comments have been defamatory he is free to press charges, but there is no requirement that people not express themselves. It may very well prejudice people against him; and? He has no inherent right not to have people prejudiced against him.

RE: Liberatia MoRA campaign - Farengeto - 06-18-2014

And if you feel my comments violate our laws then I encourage you to press charges.
