Why oh why do we need so much science. It gets in the way.

You are in the Northern Hemisphere of our planet, Zadiner. Sorry buddy, but its Fall for you!

Read RK's post.

RE: [OOC] Flash News - Kris Kringle - 10-01-2015

I'll leave the science to Farengeto, but do we really need to overcomplicate ourselves by saying that is a different tilt, that rotation is different and whatnot?

RE: [OOC] Flash News - rhinotaz - 10-01-2015

I suggest we keep it the same (or at least very similar) for the sake of simplicity.

That's irrelevant. This isn't OUR earth. It's the South Pacific's Earth. It could very well be tilted a different way, or not tilted at all, which would change the way our weather systems work, and when seasons occur during the year.

It could be like Uranus, where summer and winter are each 80 years...

RE: [OOC] Flash News - Ryccia - 10-01-2015

No. I refuse to accept something like that. Earth's degrees of tilt are just perfect to support life. Of what I've heard, add a degree or take one, Earth would not be as supportive of life as it should be. So, I insist that Pacifica is tilted just like Earth.

RE: [OOC] Flash News - Melfi - 10-01-2015

This is ridiculous.

But Uranus is so big...

Please don't hit me.

I should point out that what causes our season lengths is orbital distance. Only way to make a season longer is to change Pacifica's orbital distance.

So unless anybody wants Pacifica to be frozen solid and/or orbit a star so massive it would explode sny day now, no.
