The referendum whether to change Eflads official name to only "Republic of Eflad" has been held today. At 20h the polls closed and the votes are being counted. As far as we know, 63,5% of all registered inhabitants have voted. Of those 62,7% have voted to change the name. Official results should be released tommorrow morning.

A house on a cliff in the pristine surf town of Olawe has fallen into the water. All five inhabitants of the house died, including a Labrador Retriever.

The vote count has been concluded. 70,2% of voters, 23 065 800 people, have voted to change Eflads name from the "Technocractic Republic of Eflad" to "Republic of Eflad". 32 742 000 people, 64,2% of the total eligible voters, have voted. PM Tirng has already called a Sænat sitting to "put the referendum into law and to kick off a referendum to change Eflads Flag."

In a congressional special election, Democratic businessman Jeff Wittenger won against Republican dentist Rich Bailey. The district is historically conservative, however, after the Supreme Court left Medicaid up to the states, voters have been outraged. Some are calling this a "violation of our civil rights," while others have supported the decision. Activist and attorney Daniel Searles has appealed the decision and is awaiting a civil trial in the Supreme Court.

The Sænat sitting has been concluded. The referendum has been put in the law by a vote to change the constitution and the name is now officialy the "Republic of Eflad" or "Republika Eflæde" in Efladian. There were 324 votes for and 104 against the change of the name. With that 75,7% of the Sænat has voted for the change, far surpassing the two thirds majority required to change the name.
The rainbow coalition, as it is commonly called, has passed a referendum to change the flag as well, like the PM announced.
The referendum will be held next Sunday.

Dr. Weral Italī, Minister of Home Affairs, has been shot multiple times whilst visiting a march at the recently attacked Home Affairs building. He is being rushed into the hospital.
