PROCLAMATION OF RESULTS

MARCH 2022 PRIME MINISTER SPECIAL ELECTION

WHEREAS a round of voting was held between the days of 13 March 2022 and 16 March 2022 to determine the candidate elected as Prime Minister to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected, the result being as follows:

• Moon (87.5% in the first round) (Elected Prime Minister)
  
  
• Re-Open Nominations (12.5% in the first round)

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby proclaim on this day, 16 March 2022, that:

• The candidate signaled as such in the list above has obtained a majority of votes after all votes were been counted and preferences have been properly distributed, and consequently has been duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the office of Prime Minister to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected.
  
  
• The result of this election as proclaimed on this day shall be certified, absent any challenges that require further time to be resolved, on 23 March 2022.

MARCH 2022 PRIME MINISTER SPECIAL ELECTION

WHEREAS the result of this election was proclaimed on 16 March 2022 as follows:

• Moon (87.5% in the first round) (Elected Prime Minister)
  
  
• Re-Open Nominations (12.5% in the first round)

WHEREAS all challenges to the above result, if any were made, were duly resolved and all changes to the initial result have been duly reflected in the Proclamation from 16 March 2022.

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby certify on this day, 23 March 2022, that:

• The candidate signaled as such in the list above has obtained a majority of votes after all votes have been counted and preferences have been properly distributed, and consequently has been duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the office of Prime Minister to complete the term for which another individual was originally elected.
  
• The candidate signaled as such in the list above having been elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the office of Prime Minister while holding the office of Minister of Defence, shall be considered to have resigned from the latter office, pursuant to Article 7, Section 4 of the Elections Act.
