I like this too, to be honest, some of the titles get a bit confusing and I’m never sure who is who.

Minister and Department probably work the best. Wouldn't require that much of a change.

What if we rename the ministries themselves?

For me, when first joining TSP, I thought the Ministry of Engagement was much different then it actually is. '

Also, if we are going to rename the ministries pretitles, I strongly suggest doing something that "matches."

For instance, Ministry + Minister match. Department + Secretary match. Etc...

Those only match because that's how the American federal government is structured - unlike Minister and Ministry the words don't really have an etymological connection to each other.

I'm used to department and secretary. That should be reworded (on my part).

The reason this thread was made was because lots of people confuse matching terms like Ministry and Minister. How are you supposed to know whether MoD means Minister or Ministry of Defense?

I agree. I believe I referenced that in an earlier post.

That's why I said Department + Secretary. DoD and SoD (for Defense).

Then again, it's not like that's such a major issue.

I think it is, in some respect.

Just abbreviate them as MyoD and MroD?
