Profits in Market Street - Kris Kringle - 03-30-2015

Hi!

I would like to have a discussion about how we can ensure that store owners get profits for the products people buy form them. Regretfully, right now there is no automated way to see that owners receive Drama Llamas for each product they sell, which means admins would have to manually add Drama Llamas to their accounts.

Over the months we've had Market Street Online I have thought of different alternatives, and right now I am leaning towards making good use of our notification system. I believe it is possible to have a PM be automatically sent whenever you buy something. I could set the PM to something like this: "Thanks for buying in [Store]! If you want to ensure that the owner receives money for the product you have just bought, make sure to post the name of the product you have bought, in their Market Street thread thread!" I could include links to their specific threads, so people would post there. Then admins could check those threads, and add DM to each owner, based on those posts.

Thoughts?

Sounds okay to me.

So, all this time the DL's I've spent just went to limbo? Full support.

This involves editing the settings of every single product in every single store, so I'll do it later this week, since I'll be on break then. Tounge

It might seem a bit complicated at first, but it'd indeed be reliable until finding a way to make the transactions automatic.

Once that finally gets dealt with, it would be nice to look for a way to buy and sell stuff on threads (the shops relatively); maybe with links, maybe with commands like [buy]... Who knows?
