Prime Minister Barrett announced today that her decisions for stepping down briefly next year are personal and she's not comfortable sharing them. She has stated that she is just taking a step back to fix these and that the replacement will also look after her constituency as their MP during her absence. She has stated that if she decides to step down completely during those months, she will tell the sitting Prime Minister for them to announce to the nation and inform the nation of the date of the snap election. Al the moment, however, she hopes and aims to return to Office as Prime Minister in January 2022.

Prime Minister Barrett has announced former Deputy Speaker of the Higher Chamber, Tyrone Peterson, will step up to briefly take her place as Modern Marxist Party Leader and Prime Minister of Qaweritoyu in June 2021. Mr. Peterson will be the oldest ever Prime Minister to take Office at the age of 81. The oldest, currently, was Mark Dixon in 2017 at the age of 75.

Latest polls on domestic politics show a new high for SLP. Polls on foreign politics show a general indecisiveness towards NCU-membership (23% in favour of membership, 31% against it, 46% undecided) and the favourite candidate for leading FiHami into the future (22% for Kuri, 18% for Texeteti', 13% for Green).

As parties start writing their campaigning programs for next year and decide on who to endorse in foreign elections, those polls are expected to change heavily in the upcoming weeks.

Prime Minister Barrett has eased restrictions more than she previously stated she was going to. She emphasised the need to practice distancing, wash hands regularly, sanitise hands regularly and clean surfaces regularly. She has re-opened the borders but has said there are no restrictions currently required to be taken by people coming into the country from outside. She said the Government will review the situation if a case is confirmed and decide the most appropriate course of action to take.

President Berry has announced the schedule for June 2021's Presidential Election. 1 December 2020 - 31 December 2020 is the Nominations Period. 1 January 2021 - 30 April 2021 is the Campaign Period. 1 June is the election all day, the nature of which has yet to be confirmed. 2 and 3 June, the results are counted and 3 June in the evening, the new President is announced and takes Office.

The Izaakian Institute of Film announces it will begin production of a film based on the epic stories of Emperor Julius and Empress Artemesia. The film is expected to be released next year and will be filmed at sites across La Montagne, Sedunn and Brōdmark.
