RE: [IC] Flash News - Izaakia - 12-31-2020 Parliament approves bill to remove the monarchs immunity from prosecution for acts committed outside the role of monarch. The primeminsiter has promised more debates on the role of the monarch before putting options before the nation in the March referendums. RE: [IC] Flash News - Hammerstar - 01-01-2021 The Royal Address shall begin a week after new years RE: [IC] Flash News - GI-Land - 01-01-2021 In yesterday's new year's address, the King and Leader advised the populace to make use of their democratic rights this year. In 2021 GI-Land has another round of federal elections, but earlier this year the three states will hold elections also. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-01-2021 Prime Minister Barrett re-appointed Dr. Darrell Fuller, Dr. Bert Little and Gary Pierce today as Vice-Prime Ministers alongside Dr. Monica Ortiz. Vice-Prime Ministers Fuller, Little and Pierce decided to give it a go but resigned at the close of business as they had decided they had 'nothing more to contribute' to the running of Government. Prime Minister Barrett and Vice-Prime Minister Ortiz had a meeting as a result of this to decide how to move Government forward and they arrived at the conclusion that it's time to appoint a brand new Vice-Prime Minister, not an old one. Prime Minister Barrett has appointed Kade Chandler as the new Vice-Prime Minister alongside Dr. Monica Ortiz. President Berry and Vice-President Ortega wish everyone in Qaweritoyu and abroad a happy and healthy New Year. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-02-2021 Willard Blair, Gabriel Edwards, Manuel Ortega, Christopher Elliott, Vicki Berry, Bobby Rogers, Lewis Lane, Kelly Butler, Willie Thomas, Luke Washington, Teri Oliver, Genevieve Blair, Lowell Davis, Gerard Edwards, Billy Martinez and Albert Berry all declared their candidacies today ahead of the closure of the Nominations Period for the June 2021 Qaz Presidental Election. Vicki Berry also stepped down as President today for private reasons but confirmed she's still running for President in June 2021. Vice-President Manuel Ortega has ascended to the Presidency until 3 June 2021, when the results of June 2021 will be announced. He has appointed Christopher Elliott as his Vice-President. The Campaigning Period for June 2021 has now commenced. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-03-2021 President Ortega has thanked all for his warm welcome to his new job. Addressing the nation briefly, he said, 'There appears to be some confusion regarding my promotion. I am not replacing June 2021, I am only stepping into the role to get the country to June 2021. The former President didn't intend to replace June 2021 and, rest assured, it is still going ahead as campaigning begins today.' On the day that Christopher Elliott was appointed Vice-President, Prime Minister Barrett has revealed that she actually got on really well with him as President and thought he was the fairest President of Qaweritoyu so far, no offense to other Presidents. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-03-2021 New Vice-Prime Minister Kade Chandler has spoken for the first time since his appointment yesterday. He has said he is thrilled to have been trusted by the Prime Minister to step into this role as her assistant as it has been a dream job for a while. Vice-Prime Minister Chandler has been a politician since 2008, he married his wife in 1993 and has three adult children. He also said he has been observing, as all Modern Marxist LCs and MPs have, the Prime Minister and her Vice-Prime Ministers in action through both Administrations, including his now-colleague, Vice-Prime Minister Ortiz, and says he's glad she's good because he's currently stuck at home recovering from a heavy flu. RE: [IC] Flash News - Izaakia - 01-03-2021 The trial of Eric Sewell aka Dickie Biggins is to begin tomorrow. Alongside Eric Sewell, three MPs will be standing trial for knowingly aiding the embezzlement of government funds from the foreign aid budget. In Parliament the minister for International aid has been sacked for failure to properly oversee the parliamentary committee on foreign aid. Following attempts to strip Eric Sewell of citizenship, which were unsuccessful due to laws preventing anybody from becoming stateless, the Home Secretary is to put forward a motion to Parliament to exercise Clause E1 of the Law to Ban Extradition of Izaakian Citizens, the Clause allows extradition in exceptional circumstances following a parliamentary vote. Parliament is expected to demand reassurances of that the death penalty will not be used, evidence gained through torture will not be used, and oversight of the UA Court process by Izaakian legal experts or the IC. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-04-2021 Prime Minister Barrett is reportedly considering a snap election either later in the year or early in 2022. The Government have refused to comment on speculation. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qwert - 01-06-2021 Following the announcement that WF-observed referenda will be held in La Montagne and Brödmark, Sedunn and Transsuneria will lift the sanctions imposed on Izaakia since the annexation of La Montagne. |
