Mr. Butte claims that if he were Prime Minister, "I'd kick them all out, every last one. They don't contribute, they just take, take, take." Press Secretary Arno Valdev has called Mr. Butte's comments, "Outrageous, grossly incorrect, and unfit for the office of Prime Minister."

The Federation and the Republics have all condemned the "grotesque" and "distasteful" comments made by Biggot Ed Butte. Mikalos Vapolagos said on Tuituiru, a popular Kyrinian social media site: "Y'know, Biggot Ed Butte's name really says many things about his personality and way of thought". Including Silver Dawn, Kyrini's far-right anti-immigration party, has condemned the comments, saying that "they reduce Ryccians to the status of subhumans. Even we would not be that crazy as Mr. Biggot"

Mr. Butte has seen a 5-point rise in the polls of Federalist Republicans, even though the mainstream has distanced themselves from his statements.
