Numerous protests have occured in Ryccia, against the SCO decision. The protesters won't leave until the resolution is lifted, or that Ryccia ignores the resolution altogether. However, counter demonstrators have also showed up. Meanwhile, King Edward I has stated that the military will be reduced from 1,000,000 to 200,000 in active troops, but Parliament has passed Law 02, stating that the IOC can borrow the nuclear arsenal, disabling Ryccia's nuclear capabilities in the process, but cannot dismantle it and that the military reduction will wear off after the report of the Southern Council is completed. The nuclear arsenal must also not fall in Sporaltryan hands, and the nuclear arsenal must be returned after the report. However, the King opposes this, saying that "Ryccia must abide by international law and the SCO resolution's terms". Prime Minister Karen Cline however disagreed with the King, and that she would pass an Executive Order enabiling Law 02 if a Royal Order disabling it was passed.

After intense debate in Parliament, an amendment on Law 02 has been made. The military will drop its size to the required amount, but the soldiers who were fired in the process will pass to be part of the National Guard, which is tecnically not a military, but rather a defensive army.

In response to the islamophobia in Ryccia(about 23% of Ryccians are islamophobic. Ever since the Terrorist Attacks of 2001 done by Azimi Muslims, islamophobia has been high. The peak was in 2002, when 65% of Ryccians were islamophobic, and hate crimes were at their highest in 2005. But now, the numbers are falling, and that's good), the King with a group of 300 demonstrators fasted for a day, according to islamic tradition, but did not engage in muslim religious activities, but rather since the majority of the protesters were christians, they prayed 5 times to God and read the Bible(or another holy book and pray to another deity, or not do anything at all if the person was atheist). They then broke the fast at the accorded time, and they feasted on traditional Ryccian food(or whatever you wanted to eat). This is considered a great step onward to ending islamophobia in Ryccia.
