The situation between Ryccia and Sporaltryus is dire…President Aaron McBane said, "We tried the peaceful approach, but the Ryccians and Sporaltryans have forced our hands. We must take their nuclear weapons away with force. We must do this before it's too late." On Tuesday, 13 October, Admiral Daniel-Beckham Cutter, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, presented a folder containing documents to the President. On the face of the folder was, "Top Secret. Operation Athena." Admiral Cutter said to President McBane, "Mr. President, you've done everything you could, now let us do our jobs." The President took the folder and opened it. After going through the operational details, he signed it.
On 14 October, by the order of the President, a full mobilization of the Qvaitican Defense Forces occurred, and the 2nd and 3rd Ground Armies were deployed. The 2nd Ground Army would be tasked with invading Sporaltryus and the 3rd Ground Army would be tasked with invading Ryccia. A few hours later, the 2nd Ground Army was put on the ground in Ryccia, assisting the Farengeto military while the 3rd was on the ground in Sporaltryus, assisting the Resentine military.
In a public statement, President McBane said, "My fellow Qvaiticans, this country is at war with the unstable countries of Ryccia and Sporaltryus. May God help us in our battle to maintain the security of this region."

A soldier for one of the coastal factions in Sporaltryus has stated, "This isn't about whatever the hell they came here with in the first place. This is about them finally finishing and getting rid of their old enemy. It's a shame to their nations, in the words of my commander."

On the ground in Sporaltryus, the 5th Infantry Division gave assistance to the pro-Qvaitican Avery Wilson, who lead the Sporaltryan Freedom Movement (SFM) from Qvait. At the sight of a Qvaitican flag, Wilson said, "It's about damn time!"

The National Coalition has declared war against Qvait. The militias's numbers are now 450,000, with 35% being former soldiers or former officials who received military training. Furthermore, the rest of the troops are receiving military training from their military peers.
It has been reported that the 3rd Coalition Army has been fighting the 2nd Ground Army, and it is now winning due to the advantages the 3rd Coalition Army possesses, which are military equipment and knowing the terrain. However, the 3rd Coalition Army is suffering losses.

Initial progress into Sporaltryus has been slow, however, operational procedures for the next week should significantly increase progress towards our mission objectives. Individual Task Group objectives will be listed.
Reminder:
Sporaltryan Rebel Groups are still extremely fractured. All opportunities to convince/manipulate them to turn on each other should be exploited.
RNR 6th Battle Group and 4th Carrier Group: Engage hostile "Guardian 1" Task Group. Prepare for Marine Assault on Sporaltryus City.
RAR 1st Armor Div. and 2nd Inf. Div.: Move SE and engage Hostile 6th Arm. Div. Watch flanks for Hostile Infantry forces.
RAR 1st Inf. Brig.: Take Border defenses and await reinforcements from 1st Engineer Div.
RAR 3rd Ranger Brig. and 5th Airborne Div. Fly-by night mission into the Fork of the Euleae. Establish FOB and Defensive positions and await reinforcements from 3rd Airborne Division.
RAR 3rd Armor Div., QDF 5th Inf. Div., Karnetvor 2nd Armored Div., and Karnetvor 4th Inf. Div.: Travel S and engage Hostile 5th Inf. Corps(Detaching 3rd Armor with Allied forces, allied movement strongly suggested but not enforced).
KAF 6th Army and Karn. 5th Inf. Div.: Move SE and engage Hostile 10th Inf. Corps.
KNTF Carrier Group: Establish FOB/Naval Refit Base in Saint Vincent, then Travel S and engage Hostile "Guardian 2" Task Group(Allied movement strongly suggested but not enforced).
KNS Oscar Hansen: Serve as communications relay between the RNR and KNTF forces. Keep watch for any extreme/unexpected hostile action.
These are orders and advisements for current engagements. Should any question arise, contact Central Command ASAP.

The Government of Zadiner has offered assistance to the Qvaiticans in the invasion of Ryccia. The Zadinerian Defense Force will be put on standby and ready for the Qvaiticans signal to go ahead.

Sporaltryan militia groups have been on edge and on the defense following the invasion of the nation by Coalition forces. Fighting amongst the factions have continued, but the main focus for all involved is repelling the foreign invaders.

Following the escalating events in the local area, Liberum Hominis in Terra has 'beefed' up miltary personel along it's border with Ryciaa to monitor the potential spike in refugee flow. They are also ordered to apprehend any militant or terrorist trying to enter LHT.

Hammerstar is currently unable to provide help on Operation Athena, the military is needed at home, and we are fully in the defensive.
However, the Technocracy could present several condottieri officers to aid the cause, but we shall only do this if Kyrini and Irykia would allow Regal Condottieri to safeguard several Ryccian items of cultural and historical importance. For this shall be our only mission, to preserve the cultural heritage from harm.
Nevertheless, the Technocracy is also willing to present several in-organic military equipments that are not of Hammerstarian origin, but would still function as it was intended to. A couple of tanks, light armour, rocket launchers, archer artilleries, medicinal supplies, weapons, ammo and aircrafts.
