Sports talk - Jay Coop - 10-13-2015

Now, I'm creating this thread so sports fans have a place to talk about, well, sports. For me, I created this to say how stoked I am about the Chicago Cubs. This year was a 107 years in the making! The Cub's last World Series victory was in 1908, and they might go all the way this year. Back to the Future Part II said the Cubs would win the 2015 World Series and it might just come true.

I was supporting Germany that day... *hides*

That said, I'm a longtime football fan. As I'm writing this post I'm watching Venezuela play against Brazil in a World Cup qualifier (and losing) on TV. Besides my own country, I also support Germany and Italy (both since 2006; you can imagine how I felt when Germany won the World Cup Tounge) at national level, and FC Barcelona at club level.

I don't care a lot about baseball, even if it's Venezuela's most popular sport, but I want the Chicago Cubs to win just for Back to the Future II (and they deserve a World Series after 107 years).

[Edit: Venezuela ended up losing the qualifying match against Brazil 3-1]

So was I. Tounge

Our team was broken. Bad coach. Bad defense. Bad teamwork. Extremely bad faked injuries.

Hopefully next time, though. Happywide
Oh, how I miss the golden ages of Pelé & Co.
