Welcome to the The Lampshade Academy!

Welcome!

The idea of an educational institution to prepare fellows in working in the Ministries of Foreign and Regional Affairs was realized by Escade, the Ministress of Foreign Affairs, and Seraph, the Minister of Regional Affairs who both wanted a fellowship program that could train fellows by honing their skills.

The Administrative Building of The Lampshade University

In The Lampshade Academy, you will be trained so that you could be more competent and skilled fellows. This 2017, we will launch the the Fellowship Degree Program (Fd) in Communications, Culture & Integration and in Diplomacy.

The program will consist of two parts: education and immersion. The first part will consist of one (for Culture & Integration) or two (for Diplomacy and Communications) core subjects, two electives and a third elective that may be switched for Research  (Research is mandatory for Culture & Integration). The second part will then allow the students to apply what they have learned before they graduate.

In order to apply, feel free to state your interest below or to message me here or on Discord.

Thanks!

A very interesting programme, though I'm not sure how I feel about asking people to share their emails. Some may generally use their personal emails, and might not feel comfortable sharing it with others.

I have taken this test.

It is a work of pure genius.

So umm, I just looked at the test.

We can't actually use this. Right? Right. Tounge

RE: Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program - Belschaft - 04-12-2017

Sharing is caring.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've made the email optional. Thanks again Smile

The purpose of the test is to really know who has the determination and commitment to work as a fellow. Besides the questions are not hard to fail (Come on the points for General Aptitude is smaller than that for the last portion).

Is being able to summarise the water cycle in one sentence, solving quadratic equations, or knowing basic chemistry or biology, really relevant to working for the foreign service of a roleplay government?

I see you point. I actually did not realize that part ate up 80% of the test.

I'll go change some parts now.

Well considering you guys elected me, I would say no. However to become a fellow you must be at least willing to be funny and or be creative. The real test is not the test. It's the test.

RE: Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program - Kris Kringle - 04-12-2017

I mean, funny and creative seem more like qualities for cultural fellowship. Not that one should be dull and serious at MoFA, I'm just wondering if that's really the focus for prospective fellows.
