A Curious Visit - Ryccia - 02-03-2020
The Ryccian orbital police was patrolling over the capital as usual on their Police TIEs. Coloured in blue, less armed than military TIEs and wearing the police insignia in their wings, they secured planetary security in orbit of Daonlathas.
"Attention, this is Police TIE #1053-DAON, I have a strange read- HOLY MOTHER OF THE SUN!!!!"
An unknown ship warped in from a purple portal. What was that?!
Wait, is that...?
"...Police TIE #1053-DAON, special code 1417"
"A 1417? Are you certain, officer?"
"Yes, m'am, I repeat, special code 1417"
"Keep an eye on that vessel. We have your location fixed. The local garrison is being informed of the situation. If the Drakari craft becomes hostile, release the safety lock and open fire if necessary"
"Understood. Target locked, I repeat, target locked"

The ship hovered for a few moments until its engines began a steady burn towards the planet and its patrolling ships. All the while, a communications signal attempted to get through as the gleaming ship drew closer.
"Hailing Ryccian patrol craft. This is Captain Artoria Natalis requesting audio-visual communications."

It was protocol for lowly patrol officers to delegate these kinds of responsibilities to higher-ups. The female Captain Theresa Montcherie spoke.
"Police Captain Theresa Valeria Maria Montcherie Silveria speaking. Please, state your purpose, Drakari craft"

The Drakari's smiling visage appeared a moment later. "A pleasure to meet you, Captain Silveria. Allow me to formally introduce myself: Artoria Natalis, captain of the heavy cruiser Eternal Knowledge, Imperial Corps of Exploration."
She gave a polite, if somewhat stiff bow. "As for my purpose, my crew and I were hoping to see how life is in the Ryccian Empire. And considering one of the Corps' purposes is to establish relations with civilizations, we figured we'd pay a visit. I trust our method of arrival didn't cause too much alarm?"

"Why, yes, it has rather caused such a feeling in our people. We are now receiving reports of an alarmed citizenry that observed your peculiar arrival. That can be excused, as the average Ryccian does not see a Drakari ship every day. We are confirming with our higher-ups to allow you to proceed to the capital without worry"

She promptly winced. "Ah... oh dear... my apologies for causing a scare..."

Natalis nodded before looking off to the side. "Very well... helmsman! All ahead full, maximum burn!"
"Aye, Captain. Approaching coordinates."
The Drakari looked back at Silveria, nodding once more. "I look forward to seeing you in person, Captain Silveria. Io grant you strength." With that, her image flickered away.

"Move, move!"
A batallion of troops inundated the terminal. TIE Fighters screamed overhead. The ten police officers stationed there were astonished.
"Excuse me, sir, why are there 400 troops here?"
"Clear away, officer, this is a Drakari ship. We can never be too cautious. Tell your colleagues to leave. The military is taking over this landing inspection"
"Yes, sir"
The police officers left. 400 soldiers and their commanding officer stood ready and armed. When the Drakari craft landed, the soldiers were on standby, and Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius Valius Petrus Colter Filzix was in front of them, ready to greet the Drakari visitors.

As the boarding tube connected, the airlock opened with a hiss of the hydraulics and out stepped Captain Artoria Natalis, resplendent in her immaculately pressed uniform, accompanied by her security escort.
"Hail and well met, Ryccians. I see you have been... busy... since our arrival." The Drakari looked at the battalion of troopers ahead of her, even as she gave a warm and disarming smile.
