[DISCUSSION ENDED] A Law on Double Posting - Rabbitz - 03-24-2020

Following the recent poll on double posting resulting in a favor for double posting, shown here- https://www.nationstates.net/page=poll/p=155208, should there be a law or amendment concerning the legality of double posting considering the citizens voted in favor of it?

I thought the Local Council had the power to legislate this on their own.

It should be illegal. And WA-only polls should be illegal too.

I’m assuming double posting is a RMB thing, and so I’m not too caught up on what it means. Could you give me a tl;dr?

It's when you post two posts consecutively.

I want to adopt it into the official doctrine.

It would be a step forward as double posting as been a questionable debate and several other regions and adding it to our charter would be a break through.

Heyo!

So, upon researching a bit...

Article V section 2 of the Charte Wrote:(2) The Local Council is entitled to self-administration within its jurisdiction on local issues, but may not pass laws or regulations that contradict this Charter or constitutional laws. To that end, the Assembly may not enact any law, nor the Cabinet deliver any directive, that is solely related to an issue local to the in-game community.

In conclusion, the Assembly is not allowed to pass laws that is solely related to the RMB. The double posting issue is something solely within the jurisdiction of the gameside community.

Another matter to discuss is a place where we can have this readily available to view 'cause currently you have to search through the depths of the forums to find it.

It's in the information center, the MATT-DUCK Law Archive.
It used to be a subforum in here but it's been moved to the information center. Along with the rest of our laws Tounge

Yes, I'm pretty sure that is correct.

Double posting should be legal as it would be unreasonable and irrational ristriction on once freedom of speech and expression....
