With the first round of Federal Elections due to begin in less than a month, the Federalist Republicans at their Party Convention have ousted Biggot Ed Butte as their nominee, instead opting to run current Second Minister Thomas Reddiker as their candidate. Though Butte alleges they went around Party Convention rules, Federalist Leaders have insisted that because Reddiker never gave up his delegates earned in the Primary, and due to the "Party Delegate" system, where certain party leaders are free to select whichever candidate they see as "safest" for the party. Butte has since switched parties and has been nominated by the Independent Conservative Party.

Prime Minister Giddenhiemer has been officially declared the Liberal Democratic Nominee for Prime Minister at their Party Convention, after winning by Landslides votes in the Regions of Theron, Charon, Renis, and Anton, and coming in a close second in Balent. The process for the Liberal Democrats is far different from that of the Federalist Republican Party, with all Open Primaries and no "Party Delegates" to sway the delegate count at the last minute. Giddenhiemer has sworn to continue campaigning on the Progressive, Social Democratic platform that he has supported since his time on the Talloran City Council.
