Polling Stations have opened and commenced voting to elect the President's replacement. First Gentleman Davis and his son, Harry, have moved out of the Presidence. Chancellor Butler, Prime Minister Barrett, Vice-Prime Ministers Fuller, Ortiz, Little and Blake and First Minister Rivera have cast their votes.

The Conservative Party under Tricia Stevenson have declared their intention to run in the 2020 General Election. The Independents Gordon Schmidt, Irene Hayes and Anna Erickson have also declared their intentions to run for Prime Minister in the 2020 General Election. The Liberal Democrats' Randal Jacobs, Jesus Hawkins and Delia Adams and the Republican Party's Leo Weber have all declared their intentions to run for Speaker of Parliament in 2020.

The Prime Minister of Antarcha has called Qaweritoyu Prime Minister Barrett for the geronticide policy, saying it is "as pure an evil as never seen before in Pacifica." He has called for the removal of the policy or will raise tariffs on goods traded between Qaweritoyu and Antarcha.

Prime Minister Barrett has responded to the Prime Minister of Antarcha, saying, "We've just lost our President, now is not a good time for unnecessary arguing about a policy which has been in force for nearly 3 months."

Polling stations closed an hour and a half ago and votes are now being counted. A result is expected soon. Exit polls show Gabriel Edwards to be in the lead.

The votes are in and counted. Chancellor Butler has revealed that Gabriel Edwards has been elected the new President of Qaweritoyu. President Edwards and his husband, the new First Gentleman of Qaweritoyu, Gerald Edwards, will move into the Presidence tomorrow. President Edwards has said it is a "great honour and a privilege" to have been elected President and vowed to do his best for the country. He also said, regarding Chancellor Butler's request on a proper election, he will take it into account and see what he can do.
