The Myrian and Stoinian Ministers of Foreign Affairs have voiced their concerns on the Reizen referendum, but have not pushed the matter any further as it's seen as a domestic issue of the Frost Empire. Both governments have however stated that they'd be more than happy to help ease the tension in negotiations and are looking forward to formalize economic ties with the Reizen Province again for a stable Mediterranean.

The Frost Empire has maintained that the Treaty of Ikireijin will not be altered significantly as they are the basis for peace in the former wartorn province. The Empire has also maintained that Article 9 of the Treaty of Ikireijin will not be affected as talks between the Provincial government, Frost Empire and WPR start.

Article 09

The Empire will allow the Reizen Province to directly trade non-strategic resources with states such as Bruuma and Kai Fa without Imperial authorization in exchange for rise in import/export taxes.

Former Development Minister Clive Le Rogue was found dead in the Ultra High Security Seagard Prison today. It is believed he was about to give testimony against his co-conspirators in the assassination attempt on President Blanc in exchange for leaner sentencing. His co-conspirators include his father the former Prime Minister Ernest Le Rogue and a Huawanese Cartel.

Although the circumstances of his death are still under investigation, many are wondering whether the overcrowding of prisons following a severe crackdown on organised crime organisations contributed to his death.

Negotiations between the Central government, provincial government and WPR showed great promise as the Central government agreed to grant Reizen the political autonomy to pass their own legislation provided they do not pass laws contradicting Imperial decree. However, issues still rose on the subject of a new power sharing deal between the Imperialists and WPR and it is unclear if the two sides can agree to each other’s terms.

A bomb exploded in a building in London, killing 4 people and injuring 37. Police investigations have found out that it was the Coalition of Nicholas Seperatist (CNS), a union of separatist terrorist groups wanting independence for the Nicholas region.

The United States of Izaakia opens up occupied territory in Northern N&GB, including the besieged city of Nicholasgrad to electoral officials ahead of polls on Jan 6th. Izaakian observers will validate the legitimacy of the electoral process and begin peace talks with the elected government following the election. 
Speaking earlier today Defence Minister Kim said “We hope that this election provides a peaceful transfer of power from the interim government to the newly elected one through a robust process that can be replicated in the future, and set the groundwork for a peaceful Izaakian withdrawal following an agreement of terms with the new government.”

Negotiations between the WPR and Central government have stalled with both sides agreeing to take a recess. Both sides have commented that they will continue to negotiate in good faith, but the WPR has hinted they may seek outside mediation should negotiations continue to stall.

Andrew Stewart, the Chief Commissioner of the Police Force has been found dead in his house. So far investigations have revealed that he was poisoned. Police believe it was the CNS but currently have no proof as whoever did it has hid their tracks well. The Deputy Chief Commissioner, Miles McConnel has replaced Andrew Stewart as Chief Commissioner.
