Cosmos launched their first ever manned rocket today, using the Big Reusable Rocket to launch a payload of the Space Manta telescope, to date the largest single launched component. The telescope satellite which will become the centrepiece of the Izaakian Space Station will primarily be used to search for planets in distant solar systems.

Prime Minister William Altrecht has addressed the nation, condemning the assassinations of Annabelle Nardunsen and Isabelle Sonbury, but refrained from accusing any entity as the perpetrator. "In their honour, we must hold another vote on the ratification of the amendments of the World Forum". The Ryccian legislature is now meeting in an emergency session to revote on the ratification.

The Ryccian Federation has ratified the amendments of the World Forum. In an overwhelming landslide, Parliament voted 873 to 127, and the Senate voted 232 to 3. Many pro-military politicians joined the government in the vote, with analysts seeing this as an indirect condemnation of political violence by moderate militarists.

In an unprecedented political coalition, most of Ryccia's political parties have convened a nationwide march against political violence set for next week. For the first time since the assassinations, a high-ranking military officer has spoken. General Paul Lacontine, commander of the Rougerine Second Army, has labeled the lawmakers who voted for the ratification as "traitors to the nation who will never be forgiven for undermining our sovereignty". As commissioned officers are forbidden from making public political comments, it is expected that the General will be reprimanded.

Breaking News: In a surprise attack, the Stoinian 3rd Mountain Hunters Infantry Brigade, 1st Armoured Brigade and the 2nd Motorized Infantry Division, collectively called Taskforce Spiras, have successfully secured a beachhead after an amphibious landing north of Little Sedunn at daybreak. The battle started with a raid by several Stoinian squadrons consisting of the newly acquired Esfalsan DR-018B against Rousteu Air Force Base. Stoinian Forces are spearheading towards Little Sedunn and Fort Spiry as the Nationalist Forces routed from the surprise attack.

The Imperial Frost Military released a statement welcoming Stoinian forces and have formally invited Entente officers to the frontline forward operating bases in the Demilitarized Zone to coordinate frontline maneuvers to remove the Nationalist forces.

Fifi De Pfeffel, the Mayor of New Mako-Izaakston has announced a major new development program for New Mako-Izaakston called 35 for 35, which aims to expand the mega-city from 19 million people to 35 million people by 2035. As part of the plan, she has lifted the prohibition on buildings greater than 6 stories tall on mainland Keyli for a 75km stretch of coast east of Izaakston which faces New Mako.
The extensive derelict dock lands and industrial zones which currently occupies the area will be regenerated as a modern city of skyscrapers, with port area capacity upgraded and confined to smaller portions of the coast.

Eggraria reassures Spirasian refugees that "we are committed to diplomacy and action that puts Spirasian people back into their homes, safely and warmly," and has offered the legitimate Spirasian government a diplomatic hand when the time comes to rebuild.

Prime Minister Galen has revealed new political reforms to the Union that will come into effect May 28. The Union Act Of 2022 as it's been called will introduce party reform, allowing for more political parties to form. Also to be introduced will be a reformation of congress, moving the Ministries to under the Executive branch and formation a Union Senate and Union House Of Representatives.
