Awards Ceremony Opens at the first North-South Pacific Film Festival

[Image: 5O44d1p.png] Journalist and presenter Carolina Puricella will be hosting tonight's final, to be held at the Royal Theater in Kingsville. KINGSVILLE, BRUTLAND and NORDEN - the red carpet has been rolled out tonight at the Royal Theater in central Kingsville for the awards ceremony of the inaugural first North-South Pacific Film Festival. The adjacent Cancello di la Sole (Gate of the Sun) is bedecked with flags of the South Pacific and the North Pacific, along with the participating nations in the film festival. For the past month, twelve films from thirteen countries were shown to audiences at the Royal Theater - the best that the nations from the two regions had to offer. The Film Festival has been set up as part of the celebrations between Brutland and Norden's home region of the South Pacific, and the region of the North Pacific. Tonight will be the awarding ceremony for the film festival, and actors and actresses, film directors and producers, national and regional representatives, diplomats and cultural ambassadors, and journalists and reporters are expected to arrive soon to attend the ceremony. International jurors will help select the best of the best films the two regions has to offer. The awards to be given out include prizes for the best films, best director, best production, and best actor and actresses. The top award, the Golden Boat Award, will be given to the best film overall, and is named after the nautical heritage and links of the two regions. This will be an exciting night as everyone will be waiting and watching to see which of the featured films will win the awards.

The cast of Qvaitican Rising as well as Ambassador Johnathon Keyes, who the movie was all about, was attending the ceremony.
The cast of The War to End All Wars will be attending.
(OOC: I'd just like to note that TNP is not part of the multiverse following Madjack's reforms. It is its own universe and the "region" is a planet called Eve. In TNP RP, the North Pacific and her government do not exist.)

The cast and director of An Astronomer's Dream will be attending.
A small assembly of Imkitopian representatives, including director Kukroo Yawatto, narrator Reda Noctua and the film crew of 'Weird but Wonderful', a couple of reporters and representatives from the RIZA and Kaze Cunim, head of the Imkitopian Royal Sport and Culture programme have arrived for the award ceremony. The congregation, most looking excited, anxious and a little uncomfortable in their unaccustomed fine clothing, mill around, talking amongst themselves while admiring the Royal Theatre and surroundings.

All the makers and people in the film are occupied, therefore could not attend the awards ceremony.
In their absence, Markus Stonefeather, the Paladin of Economy and Industry of Hammerstar, has taken the liberty of attending the awards ceremony. Being a cinema enthusiast himself, he was wondering on wether the cinema industry of other nations would be a most cooperative with Hammerstar's economy. [Image: Matt-LeBlanc-Golden-Globe-Best-TV-Actor-...Comedy.jpg] Of course, Brutland and Norden hasn't yet established strong connections with Hammerstar, let alone knew their governmental structure, so the Paladin walked towards the ceremony without recognition or whatever. He decided to go incognito in this one.
