He proclaims it with the support of the outgoing delegate. He has all the powers on the region page we would expect him to and outgoing delegate Tim Stark seems to not be stopping him at all. You actually don't know what you're talking about.

I can attest that as a four year citizen of Osiris, former Pharaoh and World Assembly Delegate, longest serving Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diplomat and the holder of the most honours in the region that I have been unlawfully stripped of citizenship by a convicted traitor who was convicted of treason in March 2015 for a similar offence. I can further attest that I have been denied due process, and my rights, as stated in the State Code, ratified January 2014 under Pharaoh Venico of House Bright-Axe have been denied, restricted or ignored by an individual styling himself as the Pharaoh, illegally and who is misrepresenting himself as said official in public to NationStates at large.

Okay. My apologies to the Chair, Delegate and anyone who cares about respecting hats, duality and boundaries. I'm about to completely ignore them so if you hate the fact I've a history with Osiris, am Delegate of The North Pacific or have an existence outside of tSP at all, go and stare out of the window for a few minutes.

Firstly, @Omega:

1. Osiris held an election for the office of Pharaoh. The Almighty Jesus Whale won that election while Cormac lost.
2. Cormac attempted to have him recalled, immediately.
3. The recall was failing with over 90% of the voters opposing the recall.
4. On Monday Evening, Tim, Cormac and Koth - the forum root administrator - announced that they were dissolving the Legislative Assembly, Halting the election for its Chair, suspending the Courts, as well as the Constitution.
5. In that same announcement, they said that Cormac would be the new Pharaoh, Tim would be his Vizier (vice delegate).
6. Cormac started stripping citizenship and banjecting nations from the region for vocally disagreeing with this announcement. My own citizenship has been stripped as a result of this, which is a nice way to end four years of service.
7. A request was made to the other administrators, Jakker and Severisen to reverse the changes and stop this madness in the hope that this could be resolved. Jakker is now no longer an administrator, Severisen has declared neutrality and walked away and Cormac now has the means to strip citizenship via an autotool with Koth now vocally supporting this "transitional" government.
8. In response, a new forum has been set up, owned by the former Osiris tech-admin who designed the Osiris purple theme. Cormac has accused them of Intellectual Property theft and Plagiarising the theme and board coding, which isn't possible since said tech admin is the one who modified and added the custom code to the board to begin with.
9. In response to the coup, the Pharaoh - Jesus Whale, so we're clear - has sought help and support from treaty allies including Balder, Europeia, the Land of Kings and Emperors and Albion. In addition, they have received support from The North Pacific, Kingdom of Alexandria, Spiritus, Kingdom of Great Britain and people from varying spheres in NationStates, from Hardcore Raider to Defenders opposed to this illegal powergrab.

In Osiris, the Pharaoh is elected every three months by the members of their legislative assembly.

They do not have the authority to decide their successor. That is not how Osiris works.

Should tSP get involved at all? I'd say no. There is no reason for tSP to be involved, even through four of its treaty allies (TNP, Balder, Europeia and Spiritus) already are since it does not have any relationship with Osiris, and hasn't had since my delegacy two years ago that was worth anything beyond the general civility shown by GCRs to eachother. The South Pacific has generally thought very little of Osiris, and Osiris has generally considered tSP in the same way.

The sad thing? As a former Pharaoh of Osiris, I was trying last weekend to reconcile the opposed factions in the community, and had gathered all of the Pharaohs of the Osiris Fraternal Order to attempt to find a compromise. It had been reasonably successful, until Tim reappeared... the rest is history.
