We are sorry that you feel that the only way one nation might talk to another is through the establishment of a permanent embassy in their sovereign territory. We are happy to use many forms of communication and it is true that, today, one can talk face to face despite thousands of miles of distance. If Vercopa chooses to impose draconian barriers on communication then we have no choice but to accept this, but please do not label our rejection of your application as an unwillingness to engage in diplomacy.

As for your comments with respect to Zadiner, we were not aware that any of the proof of which you have spoken had been found. These are very serious allegations, however, and you may rest assured they will be investigated. If these allegations turn out to be true, then we will be forced to deny Zadiner their embassy until we are convinced that all slavery has ceased in Zadinerian territory and that there is no further evidence of the support of slavery elsewhere by that nation. In this we will hold consistently to our principles.
