"I see, I see..." a man, sitting on a large chair, finally spoke after carefully reading a letter. This man, Michael Kakatis, the Vizier (same as a Prime-Minister) of Lands of Headington, expected to have a peaceful night but the letter had just ruined it. Next to him was John Plestis, Secretary of Foreign Affairs. "...A high officer, you say?" Kakatis asked him. Plestis nodded.

"Yes. A High Priestess. Not a top rank like our own rank of Supreme Priestess, but still a high one in LadyRebels." Plestis explained.

"And do we have any clue concerning..." the Vizier glanced at the letter "...Constance Halmont?"

"No...nothing at the moment." Plestis answered. The Secretary was visibly nervous.

"Well. LadyRebels is our ally and above anything friend, so there's no way we would not help them. Contact the Home Ministry. Let them handle this. And Plestis, make sure you're the one answering this letter."

"..."

"Is there anything else you wish to tell me, Plestis?" the Vizier asked him.

"Erm...ahem...Y-You know, do you think this might be related with Monkey Paw?" Plestis asked.

"The terrorist group?" Kakatis raised an eyebrow. Plestis nodded.

"Yes. If you remember, very recently they claimed they had kidnapped a foreign official of high rank. It might be just a coincidence, hopefully, but since we are faced with this, I suppose we should take it more seriously." Plestis said.

The huge room on the 97th floor of the tower fell in deep silence. Kakatis slowly removed his glasses and got up, heading towards the closest window. Plestis was right. It could be just a coincidence, but they had to take this seriously now. No matter what, Kakatis couldn't think of a way to handle this. Just leaving things to the Home Ministry wouldn't be enough. Sure, the Home Ministry had a great level of freedom to handle things as they wished, but this was something else. In fact, one wrong decision could affect his reputation as Vizier. Correctly, one should say that no matter what, Kakatis couldn't think of a way to handle this without superior orders. This last thought terrified him.

"The Regent is currently spending time with her daughters in Tarsis. She decided to take a break from the Government and her business. The Supreme Priestess, which is a close friend of her daughters, joined them two days ago." Kakatis finally spoke. Plestis understood what Kakatis wanted to do.

"You..You're going to inform her?" Plestis asked. His face was now pale "When she asked to not be bothered?"

"We don't have a choice. We can't let the Home Ministry handle this alone. A wrong move and it would be our end...my end." Kakatis said. He was now facing Plestis "Send word to LadyRebels. I'll contact the Regent." Upon hearing this, Plestis nodded and left the room.
