Well yeah because nobody is actually talking about TSP changing the fact that we’re a democracy. But the way you’re saying this makes it seems like the Assembly has been voting on each and every executive decision made about FA and our military. The Assembly’s role will be what it’s always been.

In so many words, yes. That doesn’t make this unimportant, but like I said, being defender doesn’t make TSP unrecognizable.

To Bel’s point, I feel like I keep having to link to my end of term address to explain why the status quo doesn’t actually work. But frankly, I don’t feel like explaining it for the 50th time to someone who’s had one foot out the door anyways, and who won’t be affected by this at all because of it.

I don’t see many people hung up on the phrase “going defender.” (And we’ve discussed this in our own chats anyways.) There wasn’t exactly a lot of hang up when people decided we were going Independent, either. I can craft the perfect PR language and never use active words at all in this... but we all know that’s meaningless, because we all know what’s happening. And it wouldn’t stop the rest of the game from saying TSP is going defender, so there’s no point. Semantics isn’t going to be the deciding factor.

I think we’re kind of going in circles here. At this stage, we should finalize the resolution and the amendments necessary, and bring them to an up or down vote. There’s only so much of this debate to be had.

Yeah, yeah — I don't think there's anything to debate. My last post was intended more as an explainer/reconciliation/meta-rhetorical discussion than actually questioning anything.
