In a press conference last week after a parliament session on regulations on construction near wildlife sanctuaries, Prime Minister Gertrude Alston made a surprising statement in support of environmentalist in Cinis, and to the family of captive Mr. Donoghue. PEOPLE'S VOICE : GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
Livanan Powers, the state corporation responsible to produce and distribute electricity to all Livanan, has made an encouraging scheme with private companies last week. In a bid to decrease Livana's reliance with coal-powered electric plants, the CEO of Livanan Powers, Gareth MacDonald has launched a five year program to support Livanan Powers' plan to built a geothermal plant in Mount Carna. Environmentalist corporations and fundraiser has been a key player to the program, but Livanan Powers fell short of ₣15 billion to support the first stage of the construction. Many environmentalist and academia stated their disappointment with the apathy that many corporates and rich people have toward green energy. 'This is upsetting, that the best people of Livana are still uninterested in rescuing our world.' stated Allan Hieratus, a philanthropist and business person  from Varana. In an interview with NP on August 2nd in his Recycle Varana Headquarter, the philanthropist elaborated the need for Livana to change its energy scheme. 'I was excited that the government did care towards green energy, and this geothermal scheme is bound to be one step on the right direction into a carbon free Livana.' furthered Mr. Hieratus.

Mr. Hieratus has been one of the richest person in Northern Liv, mainly through his Recycle Varana company which handled recycling for almost 75% of Northern Liv's waste. His facility north of Varana is currently producing 30,000 kWh worth of electricity and selling the electricity to Livanan Powers, powering at least 1,000 houses in Varana using methane from wastes. His other facility recycled plastics and electronics in throughout Northern Liv in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Mr. Hieratus was the very first to support the geothermal plant scheme. 'I always read about the great potentials that Mount Carna would offers to Livana. The volcano is the biggest source of energy apart from the sun that we can find in Livana.' stated Mr. Hieratus when asked why he invested in the scheme. About 5,000 gWh can be expected from a medium geothermal facility in Mount Carna, thanks to the volcano's activity. He hopes that many of his peers in the corporate sector would see all of the benefits from this scheme.
