Hora Unirii - The Union Dance
Culture & Art
The Stoinian National Museum of Arts & the Stoinian National Folklore Assemble
Hora Unirii by the famous painter Arsenie Petrescu.
Hora Unirii is a special Stoinian folkloric dance with strong roots in Tarnian culture that is danced on Union Day. Union Day celebrates the reunification of all Stoinian peoples by Voievod Alexndru I Cuza and thus creating the Stoinian Kingdom after centuries of infighting. Specifically, this historic moment is commemorated by dancing the same dance that filled the Stoinian city of Târneava where the union was declared. Ever since 1.222 CE, each year on every market of each Stoinian city, all Stoinians gather together to dance the Hora Unirii on Union Day.
The dance is a typical Tarnian circle dance where the dancers hold each other's hands as the circle spins, usually counterclockwise. Each participant follows a sequence of three steps forward and one step back. The dance is also usually accompanied by musical instruments such as the cymbalom, accordion, violin, viola, double bass, saxophone, trumpet or the pan pipes alongside the lyrics of the song.
The dance symbolizes how the Stoinians overcame their fear of one another and helped rekindle all Stoinian fiefs and subcultures into the modern Stoinia. To many Stoinians Hora Unirii is a timeless part of their culture with a clear message for tolerance. At the TSP EXPO, the original painting of the Hora Unirii by painter Arsenie Petrescu will installed and the Stoinian National Folklore Ensemble will perform a large Hora Unirii with any bystanders welcome to join in.
Siriu Pottery Workshop & Shop
Art
Royal Stoinian Pottery Association
A selection of Stoinian pottery in a shop.
While most Stoinia has become a keen innovator in aerospace, it still holds tightly to its roots and traditions. One of these traditions is the artisan making of pottery with colourful Stoinian patterns. The Stoinian pot-makers from the Siriu region are most renowned for their craftsmanship that has now become renowned throughout the world. While clay pottery has been used in Bailtem from well before the Mediterranean classical era, few civilizations have matched the artistry of the Siriu region. Through the usage of a unique clay only found in the Siriu region and careful carving, a first baseline of any pottery is molded. Afterwards, the object receives a paint-job colouring the brown clay into joyful Stoinian patterns and emblems through unparalleled detailling.
At the TSP EXPO, Siriu pot-makers will hold multiple pottery workshops to give any passer-by's the chance to get a real feel of the hard work that goes into making these unique souvenirs. In addition a shop will also be present with a wide assortment of pottery ranging from dishes to jugs to hold spirits or beer.
Varcathian Zimbron Repopulation Exhibition
History
The Bailtemmic Association for Zimbron Preservation
A bison herd with calves in Siriu Nature Reserve, Stoinia.
Many forget that once the Bailtemmic Zimbron roamed across the many forests of the continent. This large herbivore was especially prevalent around the Mediterranean and has become a symbol to many nations in southern Bailtem. Though this majestic bovine was sometimes revered, it wasn't spared from the effects of unethical hunting and habitation loss. It s endangerment went to such an extent that only 52 wild Zimbrons of the Varcathian-Limmvasd mountain ranges lived on Stoinian soil in 1895. Following this revelation, King Traian II decreed the protection of this national symbol and vowed that Stoinia shall preserve the Varcathian-Limmvasd Zimbron. Thanks to the enormous preservation efforts with both domestic and foreign partners, the remaining 52 Zimbrons in 1895 have become today's 64.000 wild Zimbrons living on Stoinian soil as well as 128.000 on private farms.
With the TSP EXPO, Stoinia would like to once more celebrate this historic achievement to preserve a native species from near extinction. Showcasing the brutal history of its hunting and celebrating its harmonious existence through a unique and interactive exhibition.
Stoinian Orthodox Iconography Shop
Religion & Art
The Stoinian Orthodox Church
A set of Stoinian Orthodox Iconography.
Religion lies at the heart of Stoinian culture. One simply cannot exist without the other. One of the most important symbols of Stoinian Orthodoxy is its iconography. Many monks and artists go through great lengths to make these unique works of art that have become widespread across Stoinia. In nearly every household, at least on of these icons can be found. As the Stoinian people remain deeply religious and spiritual, they still use these icons to help pray. While it should be noted that in adherence to Orthodox liturgy, these are no true depictions of holy figures, they aim to help the prayer focus on their prayer. Hence why the Stoinian Orthodox Church has committed to a signifying style using oil on wood and a unique drawing style.
The Stoinian Orthodox Church will bring several monks to showcase how these icons are made. Alongside them, there will be plenty of icons from which tourists can buy in a shop dedicated to this unique religious Stoinian artistry.
Iealea Commercial Space Station Exhibition
Innovation
Stoic Aerospace
Iealea Commercial Space Station in orbit around Pacifica.
While Stoinia clings to its roots, it also isn't afraid to look towards the future. One such Stoinian was Corneliu Stoica, the founder of Stoic Aerospace. With his private space company, Corneliu built the foundation of Stoinian private aerospace with the Iealea Commercial Space Station standing as its most paramount achievement. While this small space station, consisting of two large, a medium sized and a small modules, may not be the most impressing orbiting space station, it still holds a special place due to the efforts of one pioneering company. Built over decades of investments, the space station is set to celebrate its fifth year in orbit. Stoic Aerospace will hold an exhibition of the space station showcasing its goals of botanical space research and small-scale space tourism facilities. While a ticket to the station itself might not be the most affordable option, Stoic Aerospace aims to prove its contribution to opening the final frontier an research.
Golden Lion
Art (Sculpture)
Artist Tudor Vianu & Minea Mining Corp.
The Stoinian Lion by artist
It's no secret that Stoinia sees itself as a proud lion on the shores of Bailtem. In honour to that image and the recent engagement on the international geopolitical theater, Stoinia has commissioned a large statue of a gilded lion. Not only will this statue symbolize a new dawn of Stoinian foreign age, but also the richness of Stoinia through its gold mines. For the TSP EXPO, the artist Tudor Vianu will cooperate with Minea Mining Corp. to create this large statue that will form the center of the Stoinian pavilion.
