Qingdao is the capital sector of the Qingdao Sector. Known for its tropical jungles where Mankind and nature are linked in rural villages. Because of its harmony in nature, the local economy is based on artisanship, mainly with the planet's exotic woods. The planet als has a higher oxygen level in the atmosphere from all the trees hence why the wildlife might appear larger than on other planets.

History
Qingdao was colonised roughly 200 years ago as a result of Traian the Great's Marcavani Crusade. Qingdao was selected to be an epicentre for Asian ethnicities under Trajan's ethnical preservation plans. Qingdao quickly became the sector capital for its strategic location and economic potential. Not long after its colonisation, Qingdao's signature Altu Trees were recognised for their strong characteristics and because of their sheer size, the capital city of Suzhou was carved into these Altu Trees. The current population even reaching 600 million.

Qingdao would blossom from the day it was settled, but wouldn't be spared in the Velutarian War. Qingdao's orbital defences were easily destroyed by the Velutarians during the First Battle of Qingdao. After that the gruesome war continued on the ground for nearly a decade which took a toll on both the Stoinians and fauna. Altu trees forest were burned by the Velutarians and the eco system is still restoring from those tragedies. Luckily the Velutarians were repelled in the Second Battle of Qingdao during MacArthur's Operation Lion's Wrath. Ever since those battles, more Qingdaoans move to more rural areas and

Geography
Although 68% of the planet is covered by oceans, the remainder 80% of land is covered in dense forests with complex eco systems. Because of the dense forests most cities are founded near the coastline. Surprisingly Qingdao doesn't have a lot of seismic activity and is largely flat. Scientists have theorised that there are large underground lava lakes which help with fertilizing the forests.

Fauna and Flora
Naturally with such dense forests and complex eco systems there is an abundance of fauna and flora. The most notable flora are the Altu trees which are renowned for their material characteristics. Most rural towns and villages are carved into such trees.

As for fauna, there are both notable predators and herbivores. It is estimated that only 30% of the total species have been discovered with dozens of new species discovered every year. However it should be noted that most lifeforms are classified as reptilian or reptavian (reptilians which show some avian characteristics). The most notable herbivore is the Brixid, a bipedal herbivore with a bifurcated tail known for its meat qualities. Towering to nearly 6 meters and a length of 16 meters, they are one of the largest herbivores living alongside the lakes at the bottom of Altu trees. Males also have a horn that is curved towards the front and feathery manes, but these only serve as an aesthetic to lure in potential partners.

The apex predator is the Qingroix that feeds of the Brixid herds and other wildlife. The Qingroix is also one of the few animals which are allowed to be hunted with plasma weaponry and guns are encouraged to have for self defence in the more rural areas because of these predators. These lion like lizards come to about 4 meter in height and 12 meters in length and like the Brixid, the males host feathery manes.

However the Stoinians have also tamed the Varachall. Large reptavians which can climb trees like ancient geckos on Terra. However these creature are quite docile predators, using their beaks on smaller herbivores, and form a perfect form of transportation in dense terrains. Because of this they have largely been exported to other worlds to help Stoinians better traverse difficult terrain. While Varachalls might have grown distinct features on other planets, the ones on Qingdao are known for their green and blue variants. In some places even purple one have been found. Alongside their vertebrae feathers grow which go from head, where a comb is located, all the way to the end of their tail and serve as majestic ceremonial creatures throughout the Star Kingdom. Their size also helps with carrying certain goods and have been used as a postal service in certain areas. The Varachalls tower at about 4 meters and have a total length of around 15 meters, which sometimes can prove a challenge to stable.

Satellites
Qingdao has two moons. Wei and Zhu, both don't have an atmosphere, but have mining operations on them tu sustain Qingdao's local industry.
