On May 2, The Rejected Realms (TRR) released a statement stating that they were reconciling relations with The Pacific (NPO) once again, more than six years after the Peace Accords between the two regions was nuked due to the reveal of NPO’s plot to destabilize and coup multiple regions at that time. Dyllypoly, the Officer of Foreign Affairs of TRR, stated that they were “looking forward to positive future relations with the New Pacific Order.”
The move, however, elicited generally negative reactions from natives of the region, including Crazy Girl, a longtime native of TRR and former root admin of the region’s offsite forum, Toerana, the current Editor-in-Chief of The Rejected Times, and Crowheim, the current Officer of World Assembly Affairs of the region. In addition, several members of the NS forum, including Cormactopia Prime and Unibot (both nations situated in TRR as of now), expressed their open disapproval of the decision. The matter wasn’t helped by some NPO natives either, who upon gaining entry into TRR’s Regional Message Board via the newly constructed embassy, joked about couping and then annexing TRR into NPO. Things came to a head when Crazy Girl, annoyed by the RMB’s conduct, moved their main nation to the region of The Moon (Crazy Girl did however leave a puppet, RR Girl, behind to maintain their citizenship status in the region) for the near future.
The result was the Delegate of TRR, Chimes, stepping in and announcing the withdrawal of the embassy between TRR and NPO after consulting with Xoriet, the Senator of Diplomatic Affairs of the NPO, who stated that they “did not wish to cause further internal drama – in particular by making long term members leave.” The embassy lasted less than 24 hours before it was withdrawn. The whole affair has put a big question mark on future relations between the two regions, while tensions still remain high in TRR regarding the region’s foreign affairs policy.
