Reason — I'm afraid the longest LOA that we would be able to grant you would be two months. If you cannot accept this then we are afraid there will be no other option, but to decline your request for a LOA. We offered you a LOA request of two months as my maximum, you could have renewed your LOA after two months if required, but you declined this offer. Seven months is an unreasonable amount of time to be on a leave of absence especially considering that you could always re-apply whenever you are ready to serve as a Legislator again. As per the LOA guidelines laid out in this thread, exceptional circumstances must be produced to justify extended LOAs. In this case, no such circumstances were presented—not even in abstract, privacy-upholding terms—upon inquiry. |
