While the Treecuu insectoids could in essence hold their breath indefinitely in most environments, though at a decreasing level of conciousness, the Treecuu amphibians could "only" survive for about an hour without oxygen air.

"Those corridors won't be a problem, but I will bring a small rebreather mask just in case" Tiro added.

Tiro stood up from her chair and reached for her long black robe. "Alright, Eeract chose one of your crew and follow me to the hangar. We'll take the Nuum."

"Oh, and decline their offer of an escort. Also, order the Taam Yim to conduct a full quantum scan of the Venterran ships, then return to Treecuu space at maximun speed. We will do quite well on our own."

Eeract stood at attention to confirm the order.

The Nuum was a repurposed landing shuttle of the same class as the Surface Warfare Forces used. Their FTL capabilities, manoeuvrability and elegant design had made them popular among other state officials. This shuttle class was also the first among the Treecuu FTL vessels not to have the warp nacelles mounted on wing-like constructions, which made them well-suited for smaller hangars, such as the one aboard the Taam Yim.

Hangar doors at the aft of the frigate soon opened and a glossy white shuttle began its short voyage towards the Himiko's Revenge.

Himiko Perspective

“Software updated…. Hm… Transmission received… What?! How dare they refer to MY ship as BRAGGING STEAK! I’ll show them what a Bragging Steak can do.” Fumed Himiko as she bypassed the Comms officer to receive the transmission. “Perhaps a small message will change their arrogant tune, after all they can’t escape from the Lockheart’s gravity well and it would be a good chance to test the Treecuu weapons capabilities…” Himiko then grinned mischievously as she set about to take her revenge, first asking the Comms unit to reply with a cryptic message, ‘understood await cables’, and then automatically preparing to load a single grappling hook in one of the carrier’s many missile/drone launching bays. As she inputted the coordinates for the hook she monitored the shuttle ensuring that Treecuu complied with the Commander’s requests.
