Anson C. Pyke is amongst the 13 Grand Admiral of the Stoinian Star Kingdom. He is the head of the Navy in the Hyperion Sector and a respected veteran from the Velutarian War.

Early Life
Anson C. Pyke was born in a middle class family on Louisiana in the Core Sector, right next to Stoinia on the Central Trade Route towards Elysium and the northern region of the Star Kingdom. A mixture of all American of old along with English and Scots, Louisiana had become a central hub in the early Star Kingdom and was one of the first places where a distinct new Terran culture evolved from the mixture of many on a planetary scale. Pyke is no exception to this and speaks with an ever-present Louisianan accent. He was born as the third son in his family during the Velutarian War as an accident. His parents didn't want to bring new children in turbulent times as the Velutarians were marching closer and closer. Regardless of the accident, Anson was welcomed into the family. He wasn't exactly the model student at school and would frequently discuss matters such as religion with his father, who gave this subject at his school. Because Louisiana was spared of the war, live was more relaxing there. Once Pyke turned 16 T-years and gained his driving license, he would enjoy drag racing in the streets of New Austin, the capital of Louisiana. Although this enjoyment of relaxation would come to an end when news that both his brothers had died in the Battle of Reach. It was then that he too felt the Lion's call and would no longer remain in the safe zone of Louisiana. His parents begged him not to go, but he persisted and enlisted to become a Naval Officer at East Point. His father as a result turned to a form of alcoholism to cope with the fear of losing his last son. However this was cured after the Velutarian War.

East Point
In 1592 PD Pyke enlisted as a cadet at East Point. Here he would learn the tactics which would later save his life. Though his studies weren't as solid compared to the rest and even failed astrophysics in his first year. However he would excel in leadership, often taking charge during lessons and moderating carefully. Finally finding his talent at leading others he would accelerate his team in competitive programs at the Academy, bringing them to victory. Here he would also be introduced to the Nova Roman religion of the Unconquered Sun, Deus Sol Invictus, which he agreed with insights from, but refrained from the more extravaganzas aspects of this religion. Later in his life he would deepen his knowledge, but for now he had to focus on the war. After two years at East Point the war was becoming more and more grimmer. The Velutarians had arrived in the Core. Pyke was then designated, thanks to his leadership skills, as XO of the H.M.S. Stalwart, a retrofitted Phoenix-class cruiser in the 9th Fleet of the 5th Star Corps under High Admiral Hague.

Velutarian War
With his new command, Pyke would begin to distinguish himself from the rest and would even gain an early promotion. Pyke's success laid with the fact that he listened to what his subordinates had to say and formulate a strategy together. A direct opposite to what more traditional military leaders view in leadership. By listening to his crew he was able to formulate strategies to defeat the Velutarians. His famous move is the Pykeman, a formation in which Stoinian ships with sufficient punch are forming a line to have a concentration of firepower against larger Velutarian ships. This strategy was one of the few successful strategies used by the Stoinians with minimal casualties.
He would also rise quickly through the ranks, but this has become the standard by then. He had become one of the best Officers under Hague, but wasn't allowed to join the Battle of the Line as Hague told him he was the best of Mankind and if the Line went sour, the Stoinians would need him. His strategies were however used in the Battle of the Line and it helped turn the battle in favour of the Stoinians. With the victory at the Line, he would rejoin Hague and push back the Velutarians. After that he would join Operation Lion's Wrath and be apart of the Butchering of Velutaria. At the end of the war he would help rebuilding efforts in the Tozorian and Charian Sectors.

Grand Admiral Pyke
Through his good leadership skills, he continued to rise the ranks. During the rebuilding efforts he would become a poster boy for the military and would frequently explain the transformations of the military on televisions and other media. Eventually he would be promoted to the rank of Grand Admiral and be assigned to the Hyperion Sector. In charge of supervising the new colonies and expanding patrols as the border continued to move further. As trade agreements are now in place, Pyke helps with patrolling the trade routes from pirates and other menaces, keeping an ever watchful eye on his designated sector.

Personality
Pyke's nickname is Grand Admiral Charm. He gained that nickname from his crew and public as he seems charismatic and listens to all of his subordinates. In public he is the most charming of the Grand Admiralty and journalists often flock to him as he has become a sort of media personality. Pyke doesn't enjoy this however, but has accepted it as a part of the job now. Pyke is also quite open in his command and because of this has the most number of Cheunh under his command, right after Grand Admiral Alexander who is in charge of the Csillian Sector. It goes without saying that Pyke is amongst the more xeno-tolerant faction within the Star Kingdom. However this doesn't mean that he opens them with open arms as he feels bad he wasn't able to join the Mardakii Crusade due to health problems. Instead he remains open for them to prove themselves as seen with the success of the Cheunh under his command.
