An analysis of the electoral slogans

Tomorrow is the official start of the 2020 electoral campaign, the team of Lo Diurno Anserisano will provide extensive coverage of the political parties and the campaign in general. For this first edition, we focus on the campaign public slogans.

Socialist Union
Let's continue the work

A simple yet effective slogan, in continuity with the works of the past six years when the Socialist Union swept the Congress and the Presidency. As the front-runner they have to defend their results from the previous years, most notably the success of the Open Arms Initiative which saw the international presence of Anserisa skyrocket at unprecedented levels. Anserisa is now known to most nations of the South Pacific and its presence in the Rainbow Islands is undeniable. Good relations were established with most nations in the region. Although, the unresolved issues of the blockade from the Frost Empire may prove to be difficult to defend.

Republican Alliance
A victorious Republic

As the main contenders to replace the present government, the Republican Alliance is trying to revive the republican spirit of the nation with this slogan. The heritage of the party is one of its best arguments, with a proven history of strong leaders that have put Anserisa has a viable nation. The Republican Alliance is also hinting that big news are going to happen during the campaign, especially with a potential famous candidate, but wouldn't say more when asked about it. Having ruled the country previously, a lot of the actual members of the Congress for the Republican Alliance have been part of a government and their experience is their strength.

Conservative Coalition
The strength of the regions

The Conservative Coalition is sure strong in the regions of Anserisa with seats in the large regional electoral districts and few in the urban centres. They have decided to focus once again on this front with the hope of maybe gaining a few seats in mixed districts like Céruléa-Aquila on Haliétusa Island or Vexilla-Opuso on Rubecula Island. The arrival of former Vice-Presidential candidate Claudio Ménouarium is going to help with the experience of the party which last controlled an institution in 2008 when they lost control of the Council of Regions. They have a lot of obstacles to overcome but the party is facing almost no pressure, compared to the two other political parties, and focusing on a certain electorate might be the best strategy for them.
