For my part (and as someone who voted against all of the various split proposals when they came before the Assembly earlier this year), I'm still not sure what problem a split is purported to fix. Seems like one of the major concerns in the posts above is inactivity, so what would a split do to encourage greater activity? Are there any examples (maybe from other regions) where a different division of responsibilities has resulted in a more active community?
Inactivity seems (to me, at least) to be less of a problem with the structure of the ministry/ministries and more about the recruitment and retention of those involved. If anything, splitting the ministry into two (or more) entities might make that even more difficult, as well as a duplication of effort.
