I am delighted to announce that I will be running for Minister of Engagement in the June TSP Cabinet Elections of 2022. A little about me: - Legislator - WA Member - WA resolution editor and writer - Active on TSP RMB, NS Forums page - I often welcome new members of TSP on our RMB, giving pro-tips and offering help if needed - If elected, I will put the people of TSP first As Minister of Engagement I will, - make TSP a space for everyone, where everyone and anyone can feel safe, to speak their mind, or be who they are - create a clear recruiting plan for The South Pacific for other cabinet members and future Ministers to refer to - welcome newcomers and old-comers to the region - create a vibrant community - help make fun events like SwanVision and Endotarting Wars - providing fun and informational graphics to regional wide dispatches - keeping public infrastructure in good hands, maintaining it - will recruit responsible nations to join TSP - create clearer regional informational dispatches so that everyone can comprehend them - finish the creation of the trading card bureau project - steady the rollout of the automated telegram systems - which are the welcome telegrams every nation receives shortly after joining TSP - be active on here on TSP Forums, in Discord, and on TSP RMB - fit needs of TSP nations - work with other regions to build strength, peace, and confidence between us If elected, I will work with other members of the Cabinet Conflicts of interest: I have a few puppet accounts, but all of them are stored in different regions. by the people, for the people real change A little about the Lile Ulie Islands. I joined NationStates in November of 2021 and the World Assembly at around that time too. I quickly joined the Citizens Alliance of Democracy. Though, in the thought of new endeavors, after a few weeks, I went on to co-start the Democratic New States, a now defunct region founded by the nation Cliovania and myself. In the New States, I served as Minister of Public Engagement, the New States counterpart for TSP Minister of Engagement. I am running for in the June Cabinet Election. I later left the region and co-created The States of Democratic Progress with Effikwai and Pagai, two active nations currently. There I served as WA Delegate, Secretary of State, and Secretary of Engagement. I later moved on, and headed over to Port Elizabeth, created by Port Edwards. I served as Secretary of State and WA Delegate for some time. I now reside in The South Pacific, a region I call home. You may know me from our RMB, the NS Forums, or here. by the people, for the people real change If elected, during my period as Minister, I pledge to often survey residents to see what the Ministry can improve on doing, or any suggestions. This will help the Ministry keep a good relationship with the public. I also believe that welcoming new nations to the game is important, regardless of if they break the RMB rules, or any rules perhaps. A new nation that has never been on NationStates deserves a helpful hand to guide them around. I believe we should also include the RMB rules on our individual welcome telegrams (part of public infrastructure). This will help nations know what to post, and what not to post on our RMB. In the recent days (right before the June elections), we saw many new nations trolling our RMB page. We can make sure this does not happen by informing them of the rules. Now, if on the RMB, a fellow TSPer shows them our norms, there are no more excuses. maluhia

You say as Minister that you would "maintain public infrastructure" including "automated telegram systems". To my knowledge, we don't have any automated telegram systems beyond the standard "welcome telegram" provided by NationStates itself. What is your plan for developing, and then using, an "automated telegram system"? Minister of Foreign Affairs

By the automated telegram system, I mean the welcome telegram. I will most definitely keep the welcome telegram as it is vital to new members of TSP. Though, if more automated telegrams are needed in the future (for whatever reason), as Minister, I will help create them and set a guide for future Ministers on the messages and how to maintain them. You are right; I should be a bit more clear with what I mean by automated telegram system. UPDATE: I have changed the wording of the automated telegram system in my priorities post. Thanks! maluhia
