Good catch, I addressed it

For now, I would like to address RMB liaisons in a different proposal and/or allow them to be left up to executive discretion. I'd like to vote on the core of the proposal now, since I think the LC issue is sort of bogging down the Great Council and starving other debates for oxygen.

I'd like to motion this proposal to vote.

Just a quick reminder of the rules of procedure for this GC: The Chair of the GC (Kringle) has to approve the 1 motion to vote before it's put to vote. IIRC, seconding motions aren't required or do anything.

The motion is recognised and will be brought to a vote on August 18 at 14:00 UTC.

On a side note, if this passes, we might also need to hold a vote on repealing the LCEA and other Local Council passed policies.

I don't know if that will be necessary. If we pass the amendment to abolish the Local Council, that would make LC policies unenforceable.

Actually Ebon is right. Which rules should be active during the intermission period, if this passes (which it will)?
#30

The current rules would be active until the GC concludes and the omnibus is passed (or not). The vote on this proposal is only a vote on whether to include it in the GC working law set, it doesn't enter immediate effect.
