CoI Amendment
#21

It's a good idea, but it seems too complicated for something so small.

How is it complicated?

We would just need to make sure people start on COI post and then update *that* instead of having people continue to post. Having multiple posts per person would get unruly after a short time.

It would be really out of place to put it there.

The Government House also was host to a seal design contest. A CoI subforum would be much more official. The reason I suggested the government house is because it'll be a repository of everyone in the Cabinet. CoIs have nothing to do with the Assembly or legislation.

The seal design contest was in Government House because it was directly organised by certain people in the Cabinet, and related to the Cabinet itself.
It makes sense to put CoIs in the Assembly because it has more to do with elections and voting.

The Assembly has everything to do with voting on legislation, but it has nothing to do with voting for the Cabinet or the High Court. The only election that directly pertains to the Assembly is the Chair.

I've given it some thought, and I agree with TAC. Just use your personal user notes, or keep an updated file. We don't need a forum section for this.

Seeing as we've moved away from a potential solution, could we go back to considering the original proposal I submitted?

HEM -- looking back over your original proposal ... if we get rid of the positions ... it means we wouldn't be able to tell if someone was a citizen or a delegate or whatever. Does that pose a problem? I understand the practical considerations of remembering, but I feel like position/seniority in the organization matters to some extent.

It shouldn't be too difficult to go through the forums/archives of any regions you've been involved with to get all the relevant information. Some might find it tedious, but if you aren't willing to put in the effort to accumulate such info, perhaps you should reconsider running for office...
