Warlight Tournament!
#1

Greetings!

I'm here to present TSP's Warlight Tournament!

Let me explain a few details.

Warlight is a turn-based strategy game inspired by Risk and Dice Wars. Deploy armies, attack neighboring countries, play cards and conquer the world. This video explains a lot of the game in 3:04 minutes.

1st place in the Tournament chooses either:

A) A picture of their choice, drawn in Inkscape,
or B) An ASCII graphic, along with a short story.

2nd place chooses either:
A) A short poem about a topic of their choosing
or B) A medal for them, made in Inkscape.

3rd place chooses either:
A) A haiku about the player
or B) A mini-flag for their nation

Right then! Onto how it's working!
The games will be held at www.warlight.net, and moderated by me, ProfessorHenn.
It will be a simple match in Multiplayer, with the map as Bloomridge, by Muppet.
The winner of the match is the person who destroys their opponent.
Once the game is won, the winner gets one point on the Tournament bracket, which is located here.

Notes:

  • A Warlight account is required to play on Warlight.net, and you must be on during the set time.
  • If you cannot make the account, you are disqualified form the tournament.
  • If you cannot join at the set time of your match, you can attempt to reschedule with your opponent, But if not, then you forfeit.
  • If you have any questions, go ahead and contact me by posting the question in the thread, PMing me, or by contacting me on IRC.
To sign-up for the tournament, either make an account at Challonge! and sign-up here, or post in this thread that you'd like to participate. The games will start on November 30, at 6:00 pm EST.

No, I do not mean EDT.

Good luck to all participants!

Should have used the TSP map. That'd be fun to see Tounge

Sounds an interesting idea, but I doubt I'd have time, so I'll have to pass.

Matches themselves only take about 10-30 minutes. 5 minutes, if one side is extremely good and the other side is horrible.
