I can stand having a version of Mecca, because it is fundamental to Islam. However, I fail to see how the Vatican is relevant to TSP RP, and bear in mind I am Catholic. The Vatican has no theological importance in the Catholic faith, it is mainly cultural and historical. You could have the whole Catholic doctrine without a place called the Vatican and it still would be the same.
