Legal Question (interpret the meaning and application of a law) Resignation as President of the Southern Council
#1

To: Carlos Bazzoli, Secretary-General, Southern Cooperation Organisation

7 September 2015

Dear Mr Bazzoli

I am writing to you to tender my resignation as President of the Southern Council, as I have been appointed Chancellor of the University of Awesomiasa.

It has been a pleasure presiding over the sessions of the Council, and I can say that the Council has made great strides in my term of President. However, as with all things, the leadership of the Council and the Organisation must continually change and transform. It is in this spirit of change and renewal that I've chosen to accept the Chancellorship and resign my position of the Presidency.

I seek your assistance in calling for an election for the position of President of the Southern Council, and I will continue to serve as President until such time that a new President has been elected.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely
