Ryccia and RATSPT

Given the recent attack on member nations by Ryccia, Awesomiasa proposes that Ryccia be revoked of its observer nation status.

In addition, Awesomiasa also calls for the invocation of Clause 6 of the SCO Charter, which states 'The Organisation seeks to provide for the common defence of all its members in cases of attacks by third parties' by deploying an SCO Security Force.

RESOLUTION 006
ON THE REVOCATION OF RYCCIA'S OBSERVER STATUS AND FURTHER ACTIONS

We, the member nations of the Southern Cooperation Organisation, having committed to the mutual defence of our nations, condemn the recent military actions of Ryccia and motion for the following.

1. Revocation of Ryccia's observer status

That Ryccia be revoked of its observer nation status in the Southern Cooperation Organisation.

The provisions of Resolution 002 shall continue to remain in force.

2. Status of the Ryccian Antarctic Territory in the South Pacific

Notwithstanding the above, the observer status of the Ryccian Antarctic Territory in the South Pacific (RATSPT), being an autonomous territory of Ryccia, shall remain.

RATSPT shall be exempt from the provisions of Resolution 002.

3. Establishment of Southern Cooperation Organisation Security Force

In accordance with Clause 6 of the Charter of the Southern Cooperation Organisation, a Southern Cooperation Organisation Security Force shall be assembled, comprising military personnel from member nations, that shall be deployed upon request from affected member nations.

4. Signatories

This Resolution shall be binding upon all members of the Southern Cooperation Organisation and may not be reserved.

In accordance with Section D5 of the Provisional Standing Orders, the motion on Resolution 006 will be put to vote. The voting period will last 2 days, concluding Sunday, 13 September 2015 at 0045 HRS (UTC+8).

Members may vote 'Aye' if in favour, 'Nay' if against or 'Abstain' in the case of an abstention.

In accordance with Clause 23 of the Charter of the Southern Cooperation Organisation, further noting that the motion above pertains to a matter listed under Clause 22b of the Charter, a two-thirds majority must be obtained for this motion to pass.
