Because of that incredibly stupid thing he said about fighting NS Nazis: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic....#p20535428

Not surprising at all, given who leads TNP. I think it's stupid and immature to declare somebody PNG because you don't like their political stances, though, which is what this boils down to. Unibot's "insulting the memory of those who fought in the War against real Nazi communities" was too much, but the idea that antifa missions in NS only create more Nazis is accepted by a lot of people in Gameplay.

I mean, while I suppose their "last straw" might be a bit weak, Unibot's conducted himself in much the same way here. And, it has little to do with his "political stances," but the way he chooses to express them -- namely lashing out and they suggesting he's being "silenced" when people don't see things the way he does.

I get that, but it's still immature to use PNG status against him. In TSP, we just banned him on trumped up moderation charged that, if were applied equally and fairly, would have resulted in a lot of people being banned. Unibot is just an easy target. I've done my fair share of antagonizing, but I don't have a history of burning bridges with old friends, and haven't put my neck out creating a formidable defender organization, so I'm not as easy a target.

If people would just ignore Unibot when he starts getting over the top, like they would anybody else, then he'd stop doing it. That's how we used to do it in the World Assembly, which is full of people who argue like (and worse than) Unibot (and probably where he got his style). We have no shortage of people who go over the top in this game, but very few people get the same treatment as him.

Maybe it's because I've known him for years. He can yell at me (and he did and still does!) and I can just tell him to fuck off, and it's not some huge deal. I've said it before and I still think it's true: people need to stop taking things so personally in this game. When Unibot said that thing about Nazis, Rachel (Solorni) could have just said, "That's pretty dumb and insensitive to say. I get that you think antifa ops increase the Nazi population. But let's not go over the top and say antifa dishonors the memory of all the people who died in the Holocaust." Instead she went on about how it was "vile" and made Unibot a terrible and hateful person, over what is a clear case (to anybody who knows him) of Unibot speaking before thinking.

How are we doing with that OP, Arbiter? Are we good to submit?

Almost done

..and finished. Let me know what you think of it

Quote: The Rejected Realms is a fine region. That is why we would like to establish a treaty with them. Now before you go and shout about all the negative aspects of being allied with them, think of the positives!

They are part of a fairly large military organization, and could easily convince the rest to aid us in a time of need. If we were to be couped who would be better to help us reclaim the delegacy?

Should we find ourselves in need of information who better to go to then the host region of the most well known newspaper in NS? I bet they would help out an ally to the best of their ability.

This treaty would let people know that we are truly independent, and we do whatever is in our best interests. What better way to do that then to be allied by multiple regions, most of which differ in alignment on the whole R/D thing?

Peace and unity between GCRs is something we should be working towards. What better way to continue along that path then by signing a treaty with a fellow GCR?

Before you go off screaming about our treaty with TNI ask yourself, "Why can't we have Imperialist allies and Defender allies?". Say TNI invades TRR. Both of them ask us for our support. Great opportunity to exercise the lovely thing we know as being Independent.

Without further ado, here is the treaty!

It's good! Just a few things. I would not say that there are many negatives, because then people will want to know what they are... Also, while the TNI issue is pretty big, we should handle it a bit smoother. I'm on my phone, but I'll offer up a revision soon.

Like I told Arbiter yesterday, I think this part is too general and isn't explaining well how would independence help. Perhaps here we would mention something about how GCR sovereignty is important to us, and a line that we won't cross.
