I think the differences in our campaigns are wide. What Punchwood offers seems to be a transformation of the Ministry to a Ministry of Regional Affairs, pt 2. I think that Regional Affairs needs all the players it can get, and MoFA shouldn't try to duplicate their projects.

I do see the ministry as a small department of government. We've tried to make it a source of activity, but there's just not anything there that produces the activity we see with Regional Affairs. In a community like ours with limited resources, I don't want to take away from Regional Affairs, which is specifically about producing activity here.

I know that's not the populist message, and I'd earn two or three more votes by promising to offer jobs and festivals to the masses. But that wouldn't be honest of me, and I hope the past several years of failed attempts at doing that have finally put that argument to rest. I think the ministry should be focused on our foreign policy and ensuring that our responses to outside events are beneficial to us. That's more of a managerial and advisory role.

That's the traditional part of my campaign. The second part is the World Assembly, which I focus on much more than Punchwood. I think *this* is an untapped source of activity for TSP, and that's why I want to work hard on developing our presence in the WA. It's a part of the game that's much more accessible to new players, and it can deliver real and measurable success. Instead of trying to find a way to write a textbook about Gameplay politics and GCR foreign policy, I want to help players learn how to write resolutions and run a campaign to get those resolutions passed. I have half a decade of experience doing that, and also real-world Model UN experience that I can use for writing guides on resolution writing and organizing.

I have attached a short prospectus for the World Assembly Program I think TSP should develop. Please ask any questions that you may have!

What do you plan to do next term if you are not elected?
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

If the community chooses Punchwood as their Minister of Foreign Affairs, I will return to being a private citizen. I'll aid in ways that I think I can, but Punchwood will have been given a mandate, and it would be his responsibility to live up to his campaign promises.

I just don't get what gives you the right to say to people who are interested in FA that they can't get involved because you don't think it can work. Please also will you stop trying to play the honourable card by saying that the MoRA need all the people that it needs, you aren't even a member of the FP so I don't get how your supposed to know. As Minister I can say that while all help is welcomed we could still work if a few people join FA instead of RA.

Your plan doesn't even help RA, some people are just interested in FA and by saying to them that they can't get involved they aren't suddenly going to have a change of heart and join RA all it's going to do is make these people inactive. My plan will help both Ministries as by making it a project between the two Ministries people who would have otherwise ignored the MoRA will get to see it and might then get involved your doesn't it just creates more inactive people.

I'm not sure what your negative attacks on me are accomplishing, or what this latest one even regards, Punchwood. There is a lot of opportunity to get involved in the Ministry under my plan, especially since the World Assembly Program requires active involvement from TSPers. Is this in reference to my belief that diplomats have no use? It can't be, because that's a position you also take. What is clear is that in the more than two years since I dissolved the ambassador corps, there have been three or four attempts to revive it. The success of those attempts are self-evident.

Instead, I offer something new that's never been done in TSP before. The World Assembly is an untapped source of fun and activity for us. Success in the World Assembly is long-lasting, as our resolutions will be on display in NationStates far longer than RMB posts in another region. Influence in NationStates comes from having real power, and power in the World Assembly is derived from endorsements and writing skills, knowledge of international issues, and political savvy. The World Assembly Program is designed to increase our Delegate's voting power and help TSPers develop the skills to write successful resolutions.

Is that not something new players can get involved in?

As for as the Ministry of Regional Affairs, I regularly talk with people who actually know what it takes to get things done in that department. I've been friends with Kris for some time, and Roavin and I talk every day. I've gotten some insight into how much work goes into Regional Affairs, and how they do need help. They need both players to make sure their festivals are active, and a Minister who is there encouraging fellows and deputies to come up with ideas, being proud of them, and letting them show the conviction and dedication to follow through.

I believe the Ministry of Regional Affairs is an integral part of TSP. It is not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not the Ministry of Regional Affairs. Trying to duplicate their responsibilities and activities only dilutes what MoRA is able to do. I don't want to compete with them for resources, and I don't want foreign affairs to suffer from dedicating limited time to what MoRA already does and does well.

I'm sorry if I come about negative but if that is what it takes then I'll take that risk. I said yes we want all the help we can get but we can survive and thrive even if 2 or 3 people join FA and not RA but that's not going to happen as I don't want another ambassador programme. That has failed yes, what I am proposing is not to join the Ministries together but for them to work together. Just 1 project in RA where there are many where people interested in FA get to have a shot and where they may end up helping out in other projects.

I admire the whole WA thing but I just can't see it working. I really don't think people are interested in writing up WA resolutions otherwise it would have been attempted in some way before. If it does turn out to be a success then I'll be the first to fall on my knees and congratulate you however I really just can't see it working out.

What you describe is the Ministry of Regional Affairs. Why don't run for another term there?

Can I ask why you can't see it working out?
