Arebel was a city-state located in what is now Farengeto's Kylon Province, founded in 864 BCE.  

Arebel expanded its control and influence across the sea. Their influence led to its modern name, the Arebel Sea. In the centuries after its founding it would control most of the eastern Arebel Sea, including modern Farengeto and T.S.S.S..

Sometime after 335 BCE the state became reorganized as the Arebelian Empire, lead by the ruling families. The Empire saw centuries of prosperity and expansion, extending its influence over much of the northern regions of the continent. The ruling "Emperor" was elected by the heads of the Great Houses that dominated Arebelian politics.

The assassination of Emperor Marcellus of House Vipond in 157 CE is traditionally dated as the beginning of the decline of the Empire, marked by growing struggles between the Great Houses of Arebel. Growing decentralization and internal strife tore apart the decaying empire in the following centuries.

In 541 Arebel itself was sacked and burned by the self-declared King of Farengeto. The city was almost totally destroyed and the capital of the empire was relocated to the city of Kylon. The remainder of the Arebelian Empire (sometimes referred to as the Kylon Empire in modern sources) continued to survive until 1071 when the city of Kylon was conquered by the Kingdom of Farengeto.

OOC: The Arebelian Empire is an ancient civilization in the northern Western Continent centered around modern Farengeto and TSSS. Right now it covers most of those nations, plus a few other plots in the region, but anyone who wants to be part of it can be added to its history, either as part of it or as a civilization that interacted with it (vassal, trade partner, enemies, etc).

Digging this up because i would like to add Arabel as a trade partner/enemy for the ancient country of the Greater Imperial Frost Empire
