How long is it until socialism becomes dominant in the Americas, do you think?

Also the Scandinavian socialists?

I see socialism and communism as two separate things though, so I probably need to read something on that.

You are so close-minded to change that when it does occur, you'll be one of the few left in the dust.

This is what I can gather, anywho.

At least in Argentina, this "21st Century Socialism" is no more than an obvious abuse of the name whilst what we get is no far from an elected monarchy that forces the idea that farmers and industrials are the enemy of their own brethren.

It's disappointing how shameless they can be and how far they disgrace that name they call themselves with for using it as no more than a facade.

I agree with Punchwood.

Capitalism generally stretches from the political center all the way to the far right. It can, far too easily, create flawed societies based on greed.

Communism is almost always considered to be the far left. A strong and benevolent communist government could in theory do better than a capitalist state, but in most cases, huge flaws have brought these states down.

Socialism, on the other hand, fills in the spectrum from moderate left to communism. It is considered to be somewhere in between, in which private property remains, but private enterprise is discouraged. Socialist states can be dictatorships or democracies. However, socialist democracies, if run properly, could/would thrive and be far more successful than either capitalist or communist states.
