It's official! We are now "whiny bitches" according to the GRA for (wait for it) editing their update. So said the GRA ambassador in Spiritus's forum. Just wanted to leave that for future generations to read.

Oh, that. I would honestly close that consulate. It's not like we need it anyways, and I'm not comfortable with having ties with a region that treats others like that.

I see no reason to persue relations with a region that thinks we are "whiney bitches", Especially when we don't have any documents binding us.
I've wanted to stay out of this small scandal. GRA's representatives here were very cooperative regarding the obscene image in their update. I took the approach I did because I knew that being overbearing and editing their update myself would lead to this kind of headache.
If you ask me, I would rather just do nothing until our hand is forced. No other MoFA has asked me about it. They haven't acted up on our forums. Consulates are unimportant... We give them out to anybody because they're not supposed to reflect our foreign policy. So I'd rather not make them important by making a diplomatic showing of what boils down to immaturity. Unless I absolutely have to. |
