This is a joint press release from the aforementioned departments considering the events at the Berg Army Medical Research complex on the fifth of april 2017

Investigation ongoing

An explotion occured in the early hours at Berg Army Medical Research complex. The facility is restricted to level X access only, housing the most advanced laboratories for clinical and laboratory research. Although Troenia phased out chemical and biological weapons decades ago, they are still in use at the facility so new antidotes, better protection and countermeasures can be developed.
It is in one of the high security labs the explotion occured. Although the laboratory was in the center of the building, the explotion was powerful enough to make a breach one of the outside walls as well as the external roof of the building.
Infectious substances are used only in as small quantities as possible at a time, but there is not certain if the containment unit has been breached.
Large quantities of chlorine gas have leaked out from a ruptured tank two floors below and the decontamination team have not been able to reach the main laboratory at this time.
Fifteen scientists who was in the laboratory at the time is missing and presumed dead. Further twenty have been confirmed dead either from the explotion, exposure to the chlorine gas or both, with seventy more with various levels of injury.
Even though the complex is about twenty kilometers from the nearest town, the towns and villages around have been evacuated and the Army CBRN teams have been dispatched to patrol the countryside and the evacuated areas to look for traces of gas and any infectious substances from the lab.
Troenian Civil Defense have started issuing gas masks to the civilian population according to protocol.
As we know, there are no civilian casualties.

Yersinia Pestis
Bacillus Anthracis
Streptococcus Pneumoniae
Neisseria Meningitidis
Zaire Ebolavirus
Clostridium Botulinum
Vibrio Cholera
Myobacterium Tuberculosis

A local state of alert have been issued in the district where the lab is.
