Currently 62.6% of TSP's World Assembly nations are endorsing our delegate Tsunamy. That's the second lowest rate in the Feeders, only barely beating TEP's 60%, and well below TWP's 76.3%, The NPO's 73.6%, and TNP's 70%.

No offense to Tsu, but it seems to me that TSP hasn't quite been punching in our weight class when it comes to delegate endorsements. Do you think you will be able to pump those numbers up to be more in line with our fellow Feeders if elected?

As you'll have no doubt seen, encouraging the region to be more WA active is part of my campaign and this includes increasing the percentage of WA nations endorsing the delegate, as well as increasing the percentage of nations enrolled in the WA overall. I aim to do this by appointing a WA advisor for the region and actively promoting the current GA and SC resolutions on the WFE, RMB and possibly also via telegrams. I will also encourage the LC and the RMB community as a whole to promote the endorsement system in their conversations and I want to spend some time investigating how the other Feeders are achieving their numbers and will look to implement similar policies where appropriate to the South Pacific.

So, one of the ongoing issues we've regarding a WA Adviser is those appointed to the role don't often stay active. Do you (a) have any ideas how to fix that or (b) have interest getting more involved in the WA yourself?

I am aware that this has been a problem in the past and, to be honest, there probably is no guaranteed way of fixing it, but I suspect part of the issue is the situation we're in now, the one we're trying to fix by having a WA advisor. Bascially, I mean that the relatively divorced nature between the WA community and our own makes it difficult for someone who is suitably WA-focussed to remain interested in the rest of the community to the same extent, or, they become entangled in the rest of the community and lose interest in the WA. I could be wrong, but I think that's part of the issue.

So, what am I going to do? I'll try reaching out to TSPers who are active in the WA sections of the NS forums for a start, as well as post a general job advert on the RMB and WFE and see where that leads me. If that's not successful, then I'll have to head on to answering part (b) by trying to become more involved myself and seeing where that leads me.

I'm not all that interested in the WA myself - it's just not part of the game that particularly engages me, any more than R/D stuff does, but one of the things I love about this community is that there are so many valid ways to be playing and that we can all support each other in doing the things we want to do, so I don't at all see my own lack of interest as an issue so long as I am interested in helping others get involved if it's what suits them - and I'm sure there must be loads of nations that would enjoy this more if they had a little help, so that's what we have to try.

Apologies that that got a bit rambly, but I hope I was being mostly coherent.

There are two answers to that question.  The second one, but the one that sounds the warmest and most fuzzy, is that I've had a lot of people encouraging me towards the position and generally giving me the confidence to run.

The first and more practical answer, however, is that this is the first real opportunity I've had since joining the region just over a year ago.  I was nominated for the role back in January, I believe, but at that point, I was MoRA and fully expecting to continue on to a second term as there wasn't much in the way of successors then.  Prior to that was last summer, when I was new and nervous and only just thinking about running for LC, so yeah, this really has been my first practical opportunity to run for delegate.  Kinda makes me sound a bit eager, now, doesn't it?  (Remember answer two!) This is gearing up to be an exciting election with such great people running! I'm glad to see you run Smile

What is one thing that you've really enjoyed doing in TSP whether as a official position or even just as a member of the community?

We've had more active delegates (as in offering the cabinet advice, posting regularly on forums and RMB) and less active delegates (kind of being more of a secure the region position) - where do you think you will fall?

Probably the one thing I've enjoyed most has been helping new players, whether that's directly through conversations here, on Discord, on the RMB and through telegrams, or indirectly through the various guides I've written (I really enjoyed writing those guides for some reason) and I've enjoyed that both as a regular member of the community and as both a Local Councillor and MoRA. I hope to be able to take this further as Delegate.

I'd like to think that I'd be on the more active side, certainly as regards posting here and on the RMB, 'cos that's just stuff I do regularly. I also think that this, like the PM role, is very much what you make of it and so if I wasn't going to be active, I wouldn't be moulding the role the way I think it should be going.

As the potential in-game region's figurehead, what are your game-side credentials and how do you think the greater RMB community perceives you?

I guess I'll know for sure once this reaches the gameside itself (which it could do as soon as I've finished this answer and copied it into my campaign dispatch), but whilst my presence on the RMB has not been wholly consistent over the last year, I have, for the most part, been a continuous part of that community, posting and answering questions.  Add on top of that my stint as LC, which seemed to be well-received and my efforts in the MoRA and I would think that my name is pretty well-known and, while I cannot claim to have pleased everyone (and no one can) I think the majority view me favourably.

This is something I would want to build on as Delegate, of course, and with the extra visibility that role brings, along with its powers, I'd hope to make myself known to every nation in the region, in one form or another, and do my best to remain every bit the benevolent figure that Tsu has modeled for us over the last year and a half.
