Glen-Rhodes 2018
#11

Since my name got brought up here, I don't think the implication that I was an absentee delegate is fair. I checked in daily on the RMB and would be around to suppress posts and such, as needed. I wasn't as active as some of the LC members — or even some community members — because I've never been a huge poster, but I was around as much as RL allowed.

That said, to Glen's point, I don't know if it's fair to question someone's past RMB-activity for this portion of running for delegate. Just because someone hasn't been that active doesn't mean they can't be. Glen clearly endortards and is around TSP in other venues — if elected it would just require a bit different venue of his activity.

I didn't intend to imply that you were absent-- just that you weren't the prolific poster I understand Somy's critique to say a Delegate nominee should be. Nobody would describe you as an RMBer, in other words. And yet, you did a great job as Delegate for a very long time!

I would post things relevant to the job and what's happening with the government. That's exactly what I do here on the forums too. Whatever time I spend talking about non-NS stuff (which is what most RMB discussion is), I do on Discord, because that's where I prefer social chatting with my NS friends. I'll be completely honest that I won't be on the RMB every day chatting about general stuff, because that's not my social scene. And that's okay, not disqualifying!

Actually I think it is disqualifying. A delegate shouldn't just abandon an entire social sect of TSP just because "it isn't their scene".

So vote against me, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I won't begrudge you your opinion, but realize that qualified nominees who also are prolific RMB posters are few and far between. You can't expect somebody to be everywhere and everything to everyone.

Can you provide an example of a time when you were in the wrong and/or on the wrong side of an issue/debate in NSGP, and what you learnt from that?

I suppose when I thought Cormac might’ve actually changed and become a reasonable person, back when he was kicked out of Osiris and came here.

How do you envision the next 6 months to look like under your term?

How will you interact or work with:
a) The Cabinet
b) The Assembly
c) The game side\RMBers

The delegate position has shifted from being executive head to a security\guardian role. What experiences do you have that show your fit for this type of role?
