[NOTICE] Typographical, Grammatical, & Formatting Errors in Legislation
#11

In my opinion, the official language used in legislation and administration should be Chinese, seeing as it has the most number of speakers worldwide. I believe that if the Chair were to issue an "Order on the Use of Chinese in Legislation and Administrative" it will make the administration and interpretation of laws more efficient.

作为一个学中文的学生,我支持这个建议。

As we are the South Pacific, it is only logical to choose Australian English.

The High Court only capitalises article when it's being used as a proper noun. Here, it isn't being used as a proper noun, and so non-capitalisation would be more appropriate.

[Reason: For consistency, the word(s) should be changed to American English.]

This injures me Sad

As for "The South Pacific" vs. "the South Pacific" - I personally think this should be changed to the non-capitalized version to fit present common usage and accuracy to the in-game region. The Charter does have "The South Pacific" but the Charter is not immune to change either.

Thanks for pointing this out. I will amend the post tomorrow.

However, I'm not certain about 'The South Pacific' vs. 'the South Pacific'. As we often use the acronym, I think it's appropriate to write 'The South Pacific'.

Also ... *Hushes Nak* 'Shhhh, the Charter must never hear you question her perfection.'

On the other hand, early TSPers used “the SP”. Overall, I’ve always thought “the South Pacific” looks better.

Yes, any Legislator can and should post their findings in this thread. For which they shall be rewarded with a cookie.

I apologise for not responding in this thread previously. All outstanding business will be completed in 12 hours.

Oooh cookies....
Wait I've been stung by you before!

As I was seeing if I could recall you for dereliction of cookie duties Liar ... I noticed a double government in the charter.
