We’ve tried to improve relations with TWP in the past, but it always comes up against the same problem; their belief in the supremacy of the in-game Delegate and NS game mechanics over any constitutional order. Due to that fact they’ve never been willing to recognise our own constitutional structures, despite our attempts to get them to agree to TWP’s system applying to TWP and TSP’s system applying to TSP.

TLDR; we can’t count on TWP to respect any treaty they might sign with us.

Additional complicating factor: their government is composed of Empire members we’ve considered enemies and have proscribed for years.

Remember that any process towards any new relationship (especially ones with whom we historically haven't had good relationships) would take a long, long, long time to work out and would necessarily involve figuring out all the past issues between the two parties. So I'd like to not immediately throw out potential just because of the past. If we continue to do that, our future can only be a reflection of our past. That's a dangerous road to take because it means no change is possible.
